I don't like ffa and would like to play duel, but always get stomped like 50-5. I will open a thread looking for newbz.

Why not CTF ? I don't like CA (but like FFA) and I don't have the nerves to stand duel at the moment, but I find CTF is a very good mode since it's team based so you get more relief than FFA but you still have a lot of action to practice weapons + you can practice your timing.

Well Hindu swastika is usually different. Containing dots and shit. I don't think any symbols should be banned, because they almost always represent different things to different people, or are very similar to and often confused for different symbols. That being said, someone in EU spamming swastika isn't spawing Hindu swastika. I'm not saying he's a Nazi and he probably isn't, but trolling around with swastika in EU is meant to provoke people. I happily ignore those people and I really don't care. Spaming swastika and saying you're thinking of a Hindu symbol is like saying someone to fuck them selves or sth similar and then claming it means "peace and love" in Swahili

The hooked cross has ancient origins rooted in paganism, and bares strong ties to European heritage. It was especially prevalent in pre-Christian Europe and was actually a core, central symbol of proto-indo-european societies. The same societies that gave rise to the Germanic, Celtic, Slavic, Greek, & Roman colonies in Eurasia. I'm pretty sure people of Germanic decent used it as a rune in times as early as the Bronze Ages!

I guess the 20th century Nazi movement certainly did change the world ;-)

What did you expect from raging dogs admins? CVIN banned my friend because he lost a match! STEAM QUAKE is rly bad today because so many ego trip admins run servers.

The state of quake is in ruins and finally the two-faced community drops the mask! Remember how we used to talk about quake being mature and played by older folks, not a lot of raging minecraft kids? well it only looked that way before people started hosting own servers and id dropped the ball, letting the community run the game to the ground.

Let's start with DOGS! they tried to make Tier 3 server by telling random people to use RANDOM NUMBERS for handicap based on their nickname. No other data, no experience, just... ok.. so ur name is Ago... you put handicap 60.

Because 60 is a fun number.
Other player who is much better than you based on ELO? He must put 80... 82 ok.
And there was no way to enforce it, no written rule, just admins (CVIN) making up random numbers. It's even worse, we played a 5vs5, we were winning and he says "top 3 ppls in other team put hc 80, 70, 60" - so we did and we started losing because you can't deal enough dmg with 60 handicap! you run out of ammo, 150 lg with 60 handicap is impossible to play. But here's the fun part, the top 3 players on his team? They didn't need handicap lol. Just people that he disliked.

Friend of mine who is a beginner joined DOGS server and cvin said "you put hc 75", he did. Then someone from our team started doing massive dmg and we started winning. What did cvin do? NOTHING BECAUSE HE WAS ON HIS TEAM.
I like the handicap format but it was barely enforced properly, it was just people acting like jerks, power tripping!

Next we have IZI server. Drakoon34 joined and starts insulting everyone on pvt chat, someone tell him to STFU and he gets banned??? Are you guys retarded? Ban the polish kid, not legit players.

Servers are now NO FUN ALLOWED MODE - you say something, be careful cus you might get removed. Start winning? Better calm down or you get banned for playing the game. Have a funny name? REMOVED.

I'm rly sorry and I know how terrible this sounds but I miss old quake run by id...

So many servers nowadays have OVERSENSITIVE people and the main problem is, there's only a handful of populated servers.
I will admit, I have trolled in the past and I was making fun, but it was never crossing the line, it was just fun stuff.

Do you ppl realize we are playing video games? Cheer up, don't pretend running a quake server is YOUR DAILY JOB.

I dont even want to be unbanned from ur servers, I just want to play quake and have fun and sadly this is not possible with powertripping admins.

Only good EU server is the one ran by [HD] boys, respect!!

I'm admin on IZI and I ban drakoon (what's in a name) on sight (actually lazy to do a proper ban). People make mistakes, strange to avoid a server after such a seemingly minor incident, but it's your choice.

Most izi guys are very laidback and tolerant.
