Old Maps Cup Rules!

Nice to see The Proving Grounds (aka t2 at the time), but Furious Heights (t7) isn't exactly an old map (although I'm not sure when it was released and who is the author, I think it is a QL map originally).

Funny to see T2 again.
Anyone remember Polosatiy-Fatality battle on it?

And btw, what about T9?

This battle? Roman had released his commented version earlier this year (in Russian):



It is one nice, special map: lack of RG, RA, MH requires somewhat different, more careful health accounting and planning, and there's fog of death! Too bad t2 was pulled from tournaments so quickly. My university roommate used to play a lot of it, and I enjoyed some long hours watching him.

Roman eventually won that tournament and Anton got the third place IIRC.

Need t9 instead of t7, which is not an old map.

Ya that's kind of strange. I mean I guess t7 is an old QL map, but to have it instead of the other choices is quite strange.

Well yeah, I meant its not old in Quake terms. IFAIK it was introduced with/shortly after QL launch.
