I'm genuinely curious.

Gameplay videos and some word of mouth point me to a generic futuristic FPS with speed way below QL, so I'd hazard a guess that anyone can dominate this game now after playing Quakes for say 20 years, and if that person was a defragger or cpm-er he'd probably feel like hes in a slomo hell.

Better in every way. The game is extremely lightweight like you and everything else, game mechanics, graphics, weapons... perfect.

Beat me. Played one game then uninstalled. Felt like I was playing COD:Ghosts again.

I could not be bothered to install.

same - started the download and then cancelled a few minutes later. fired up QL and had a fun evening.

Was about to download, friend tried it and told me it was call of duty with diiimon rune spawned and decided not to waste disk space.

my freinds also told me not to be bothered. But i did it anyway and despite playingwith 20-50fps i still played for 8h.

what do you think about that?

I'd much rather watch Doom than Overwatch. Going in, not expecting an arena shooter, it's not completely unejoyable. I've had fun actually (using LG and "rail", Vortex Gun I think it's called), while hoping for certain things to get fixed for the full game, but they probably won't.

OW is fucking stupid. Never seen so much candycoated fluff in any game as much as there are in OW. DOOM has the right amount of it and quite classic on its own right

I don't mind the customizing of looks, I actually like that :P And the loadout system.. I'm not sure, I wish we could pick up other people's weapons when they die, though you can of course switch loadouts while playing, at least when you die. I hope for duels or FFA, at least by vote, you just have weapon pickups. At least for duels.

You don't understand. It's not the game mechanics that suck, it's the concept of the game that sucks. The game is a combination of league of legend and team fortress.. basically games for sissies. just because rapha is playing doesn't mean it's good. the guy doesn't make the best decisions ever and i can guarantee you that. QL was his mistake. Dude tried so hard and made only 100k in total Q earnings. holy shit. might as well get a degree in engineering and actually do something good for society.

I like Overwatch. It's not a straight shooter, but it's fast and there's a lot of depth to it. Team composition matters a lot as there's quite a lot of x hero counters y hero, and different maps require different heroes.

could do with gravity field that gives you some air move towards the top of the second jump

change loadouts at least to 3 weapons :) and pickup weapons form dead players :) ... to vary your loadout as you desire.

i`ve said that a 1000 times on beth forum, or just allow any weapon pickup for a 3rd slot like the gauss cannon and let mappers work it out

Not a bad idea. You can swap loadouts when you're dead at least.

If I didn't get that huge input lag.
And stupid crosshairs.
And melee attacks.
And slow movement.
And loadouts.
And lack of ability to tweak level of detail.

I heard Doom is really good if you have high ping makes it easy to shoot due to the net code so try playing games in USA :)

I'm pretty happy with the game so far, the only thing I feel is missing would be a circle jump or at least a directional air jump that would do very much for the game.

i noticed about air control, when i jumped from a jump pad, i could do a nice 180 turn with a circle move" and went on top of that ledge easily... (on that hellish map) from JP to 50 armor ledge.

Loloadouts? This game is for consoles. It doesn't even have deathmatch. On PC, this game will be dead within a month just like Evolve. Who is going to pay $40 on top of a $60 game for multiplayer season pass? That just confirmed its imminent death right there.

Would be pretty dumb of them to still not reveal deathmatch as a game mode with less than 4 weeks to release and so much negativity surrounding this game. Why announce team deathmatch and not regular deathmatch. Because it probably isn't in the game.

Look at how QL did with loadouts in deathmatch. It just doesn't work. Maybe they'll add deathmatch in later as DLC to entice people to buy the $40 season pass.

.. I was wrong... the all weapons stuff is single player only, you can do it in snapmap but only with an over-complex settup.

The trailer where they list multiplayer modes has only TDM, no FFA or 1on1.

That would be a shame. I will buy the game for the single player, and I'll probably play some online, but I'm not sold on the DLC thing yet.

if paying for DLC means upgrading gameplay and game like blizzard did with starcraft II SP and MP wize, then i guess it would be ok for me.
