Needs king of the hill game mode for 2v2 CA like ra3 :)

Round-based in teams could be interesting if you draw inspiration from CS's economy. You could make it so that both teams spawn in their base, 10 second warmup (= buy phase), and there are a certain amount of items distributed in each base, for example a red, 2 yellows, a RL, 2 shotguns and a rail (doesn't have to be symmetrical). The teams themselves would then have to distribute those weapons among themselves during the warmup by simply picking them up*. Obviously disable weapondrop. Give it some objective beyond "kill all enemies" so it doesn't turn into a campfest and have the result of each round influence the drops for the next one (e.g. if you don't manage to kill half of the enemy team in this round, you don't get a railgun for the next 2 rounds). To emphasize speed, you could sanctions both teams if the round takes longer than X amount of time (e.g. if the round takes longer than a minute, both teams don't get a red in the next three rounds). And so on and so forth.

* in pubs this would probably be a disaster, but you could solve this by only allowing two items for each player.

Good idea but you'll always get that one cunt on the team who "NEEDS" that specific item/weapon and/or they will rage quit.
