who knows, its id, they recode everything just for the sake of it, all idtech 6 needs is sli and crossfire which they are suppose to be looking into for doom anyway

release quake champions early/mid next year, and then get busy with idtech 7 and rage 2 or a new game

I would think that Quake Champions would run on the doom engine. I think it runs pretty well.
