That's really impressive and shows how much room for improvement there is to have a "perfect run", but I don't think it would be reasonable to use some of the risky strategies used in a multi-segment, into a single segmented run :p

Does anybody know if there are any official rules for quake 3 arena bot speedruns? Multisegment as well as single segment?
WHat are the settings, e.g. sv_fps, g_sync, bot_nochat, bot_thinktime etc. Is it allowed to map_restart on multi segment, or should it be \spmap always?

For single segment there is so little people running the game that I think it doesn't really matter, use what you like but be sure to say it in the description of your run.

For individual levels I don't know... From the 16.6s record on Crash in the link of z3ct4d's comment, I would assume that they used a map restart (17 seconds with a map restart already sounds insane to me, but without it seems physically impossible to do).

Technically I could have done much better (from my years of boredom at school, even though it's starting to fade a bit in my memory now ^^), but when you consider my setup it's not so bad :

- I was holding my tablet to film in my left hand, and as it's a big tablet (nexus 10), it's really awkward to hold one-handed.
- What's more, for my hand to appear in the video, I needed to completely extend my right arm, which is really not ideal to spin the pen.
- And the worst of all, because the tablet is big, I couldn't even see what I was doing, my hand was completely hidden from my sight
