One user did report they no longer "noticed" a click delay on some thread, but I didn't manage to find any stats from that. I have heard that the clickers are easier to press since the omron refresh, maybe it explains that but if anyone has one of these mice, I'd be grateful to see a screencap of click latency tests.
When they switched to the omrons it seemed to go up by about 1ms according to the usual spam test comparison. So I would hope that at least is not there since they went back to the huanos.
They have switched back to the 16-step wheels, and I've seen youtubers say there's more tactile feedback. I suspect that will help with accidentally scroll.
They recalled the omron models and abandoned them because of a double-click issue effecting some people. I doubt we can blame the switch for the extra latency, maybe just BenQ's original refresh or variance between units. Probably you'll get huanos, you can always ask the seller.
It sucks that this makes Zowie less than the perfect choice. I like the shapes, but the little issues with double clicks or the sooner than acceptable breaking of the scrollwheel AND the minor input lag... It just puts Zowie in the subtop of mice at best, perfect sensor or not, theyre too expensive for the issues u get. feelsbadman.
It is a little sad. Physically had no issues with the scroll wheel (occasional unwanted scroll, but I do that with most wheels), only issue I've had is they don't go back together well after disassembly/cleaning. If I understand it, the input lag should come at higher dpi?
