anyone know what is causing this? i validated the files on steam (properties -> check integrity) and it says it's fine. both launcher and steam library give me the same issue.
if you can afford a quad layer disc, 40x dual layer dvd`s fit on 2 1/2 quad layer blu-rays, and they are what 4k movies will be sold on when in the shops
Maybe a workshop item you subbed? I had a similar problem with the kid's account in Garry's mod, had to keep unsubbing things one by one until it started again.
apparently Steam has a bug that every time it self-updates, you need to run the .exe once as administrator (which is BS since this is a admin-only account).
i'm saying kinda solved because i tried every solution in google (this came from another game) first, including deleting local content .. which included my config.
i clearly remember from a couple years back, QL saved your config on "the cloud", but no - i have a totally virgin config, and i honestly do not feel like spending hours finding all the setting i had.
i'm calling it a day for now, maybe i'll be back next year.
QL had it's own cloud that stored cfg pre-steam. But they don't have any servers any more.
Steam has it's own cloud that would have saved your CFG if it was enabled, but the recomendation has been to disable that, especially if you have your own autoexec.cfg as it just makes it a pain if you ever want to reset to default.
Why is disabling Steam cloud sync always recommended? It would seem like a good idea that your config files were synced across all your devices (and also serving as a backup in case your computer died or something).
'as it just makes it a pain if you ever want to reset to default.'
it's just caused people problems with the cloud version overwriting what they wanted to be their settings. Manual management/backup just makes sure things should stay as you actually want them.
