i have a razer manticor for you, another great idea is to go to you're nearest glass manufacture company, ask if they have frosted glass 45x40cm, 6mm thick. ask if they can sandblast it and coat it black on the botton. place 6 rubber feet underneeth the pad and you have your own custom made icemat.

steelseries bought icemat. they're the same thing, surface is 100% identical.

i have a glasspad that i assume is quite similar to yours .

I love the tracking but hate the thump thump im on glass feel.

So i bought a artisan shidenkai , and in terms of static friction and general glide it is quite similar . It is covered in tiny glass fragments or something , but it is not solid so you can bend it , and it has some foam underneath so it gives you the feeling of having a thin cloth pad, much nicer feeling.

And it gives off a "always some dust" on pad feel , but this is also quite normal with glasspad , just wipe it off with your hand .

I suggest you try it , it might very well be worth it .

Or do as already suggested and have someone make a nice big one for you .

I bought it from amazon , which takes the order and atleast mine was shipped straight from asia .

I just ordered one from a japanese user on ebay, so I guess they're legit ones!

And hyperglides for my FK2

Supposedly one of, if not the best hybrid pad(the googles claim) . Just want to have consistent aim with a little higher sensitivity .

Btw , if you think its too fast, then the shiden(not shidenkai) is supposedly a little slower .

Yes I read about the differences between Shiden and Shidenkai, I took a shidenkai xsoft size M. :)

You can scrape paint from bottom of the mousepad making it clear.
I did for my pink version and It now works with DA 3g, WMO and logitech g303.

I got a black icemat i don't use anymore, with it's original box. (better for shipping). Legendary Etplayer Zorn sold it to me in 2008 so it has a very high value.

just wondered if you ever got your shidenkai , and how you like it compared to your icemat,if you ever tried it . Wonder if my glasspad vs shidenkai was roughly accurate .

1 x Large Blue Icemat with a very small amount of specks of paint missing on the base

I actually just realized there's a very small spot right in the middle of the pad where my mouse stops tracking.
I thought it might be the mouse at first but tried with others and it's the same. It's a very very small area (which is really weird) but it's right in the middle :/
Maybe there are others areas that I didn't discover yet since I naturally use the middle more but I'm very disappointed because it felt awesome until then.

I got a white one, maybe the color is an issue. There's a red version which maybe will not have this issue. If it's not just a case of bad luck and I got a bad one...

Interesting that icemats turned into a sought after item. I always thought they were underrated in their time compared to stuff like allsops and qcks etc. It was such a unique feeling to have the mouse completely glide over something with minimal friction. I think tox is the only pro I know that used it in quake, but I think they were more popular in games like Rtcw/Enemy Territory because they relied on pure tracking so much more.
