Im sure i went through all of the internets looking for demos and info on the myth , the legend Thresh back in the day.

He understood the concepts of tactics much faster then anyone else , making him dominate without the need for excellent aim, his rockets were really good tho .

It is an impressive list of panelists. But three things bother me.

1) The panelists are very Quake3/Quake-live/CS/CSS/CSGO heavy. Indeed, they are listed as 'Quake' and 'Counterstrike' groupings. DOTA2, LoL, Supreme Commander, Doom and Doom mods, Starcraft/Warcraft, FIFA, CrossFire, etc... have little or no representation.
Makes me question the amount of input from the ESL/ESEA/WCG admins. The internet(and the world) is vast with diverse gaming environments; not just what some people feel like hosting for two weeks every year in some Texas hotel.

2) Why are the panelists listed as 'Quake' specialists when clearly almost none of them are? I don't doubt that they have played the game; and I could be wrong, but I don't think any of them actually are known for Quake or played Quake professionally. Or perhaps the web designer isn't aware that Quake and Quake3 or Quake-live are completely different games.

3) What is their criteria for admission into this Hall of Fame? Most general sports halls of fame(hall of fames? whatever.) have a minimum inductee requirements plus voting. Golf, for example, you need so many major tournament wins and X level of global ranking and x amount of PGA/WPGA wins. Otherwise, it is just hearsay from some fanboys. And where are the demos(aka the proof) of their skill and mastery of said games?

IMO, a better way of lauding attention to a short list of exemplary esports figures would be to chronologically show the history of the 'accredited' esports tournaments as proof of their individual merit. Sebastian Vettel's Formula One point totals and victories prove his rank and prowess at the sport; not just hearsay from some fanboys.

In short, come on gentlemen, you can do better than this. Do your finalists proud and make the site what it should be.

To be honest they are Quake 3 and Quake 4 but I get your point.

Considering ceremony of this legendary Quake player will be at Quakecon, where they are also pushing theyr new game Quake Champions . Seems like a marketing move .

But Thresh basically made the concept of duel to a pro level , and his legacy of item control and rocket use kept on moving through Makaveli, Zero4 and all the way onto Rapha .

I is d to read people saying he was almost impossible to fool, most often tricking the opponent. Would of loved to see more demos of him!!!!
