"The Premier League is the most-watched football league in the world, broadcast in 212 territories to 643 million homes and a potential TV audience of 4.7 billion people."
I love that argument. "We dont have good teams but our league is the best". Yes, because Stoke, Newcastle and Villa all play such nice football... not :D The whole league consists of overplayed teams who dont have an ounce of tactical depth in their play, starting with the top teams.
Mourinho isnt competetive and his ManU squad is mediocre, at least internationally. As I said, the only ting you got going for you is Guardiola (and Conte). Theres zero english talent in the english football league, and that should hurt you even more, but guess what, ignorance is a bliss. Thats why you only play your own friends in Quake, so you can pretend you are not awful at it. Thats why the BPL exists.
We have the big 4 (chelsea, arsenal, manc x2). Then you add Swansea, Tottenham, Southampton who can cause upsets. Everton with a solid but low budget squad.
That's not even mentioning Leicester! a story that would fit perfectly in a hollywood movie. Meanwhile in the Bundesliga: Bayern has no competition for the last 4-5 seasons
manu probably has more fans than all German teams combined
Hoffenheim is great to watch actually, as opposed to anything I ever see from the BPL (and yep, last season Ive watched about 20 games because I wanted to understand the hype)
Why do you mention the Leicester story? It can be interpreted as a sign of depth, but also as a sign of weakness in the top half of the league.
And yea... Interesting that you suddenly mention the fans that English teams have... Weren't we arguing about the strength of the league? Or how exactly does clever marketing in Asia and NA come into play here?
