Not sure why they don't have an "early access alpha" for sale like all these other software robberies (cough dayz). Would atleast help them gauge interest and what business model to use i'd imagine.

The fuck is it with games and beta phases these days? The majority of games stay in beta for years now.

Looking at duel, I think there are two possibilities:

1. Big difference between classes: both players pick the class that is the best on that map/in duel in general.
2. Subtle difference between classes: players pick a class based on the map/opponent/their own goals and tactics.

So option 1 means nothing really changes and option 2 means a new interesting layer is added to duel (and please don't castrate what is already there).

Picking the right class, per map, will be part of the skill then.
That will be very, very hard to balance though.. so yeah, we probably see more of option 1 (since I guess it will be obvious very soon for everyone which class will be best suited for which map).

2vs2 is okay indeed. I always queue by myself. At least you can defend against only two players if your teammate can't do shit. But I don't often meet player who really don't know how to play, when someone's bad I think he's just having a bad day. It happens to me as well.

3vs3 is really terrible with incompetent teammates and it happens quite often. Often it's more about horrible positioning rather than an inability to hit the ball. I only play on Solo Standard though. Maybe I should give Standard a try since there's a chance to be paired with a party of two who might be able to play as a team.

Heh too bad we're on different continents.

There are always some shitty moments where you try to score a goal and instead ball goes all the way to your goal ; )

3v3 with two guys in party can be hard when they ignore the 3rd guy.
Or when you stay in the back because team mates are always aggresive and always not even close to doing anything that could end up as a goal.

Going back and forth is a difficult concept :)

duel can't have classes. it kind of defeats the point of being equal opponents.

Clearly, there can be balance issues and you can expect them to be fleshed out over time.
