Unrelated response, owning a half a dozen common mousepads over the past three years, they are all almost identical after a few months of use.

Nah, I prefer my Hien over my Talent, and I do prefer my cutting board over both, but getting a single speck of dust on that thing causes the mouse feet to scrape it all over, and it feels awful. Also it kills mouse feet in weeks.

Don't buy 1euro/dollar mousepads then or learn to take care of them (read not fuck them up intentionally)

Lol all my mousepads are in perfect condition and cleanliness that I cringe every time I see a top reviewers video cause they are all such dirty bastards.

QCK+2mm, Heavy6mm, XXL4mm PureTrak, Zowie GSR, Razer Goliathus are not dollar mousepads either.

Once all mousepads are a few months old and still perfectly clean, QCK2mm is still the fastest by far.

I think rapha uses the artisan hien soft if thats any help :)

I only have 1 artisan , shidenkai mid size M, which has fairly similar feeling to it that off a glasspad in terms of friction . Which is very little friction, and not a single soft mousepad has given me this feeling before, not even close.

Not that i use it , mostly because i bought it too small since my sensitivity needs to be so low to cope with it, cheap idiot.

The hayate i have seen getting amazing reviews , but also seemingly prone to dust buildup(which changes its feeling) . Btw , the hayate otsu is a very different mousemat, hayate is the one to get out of hayates.

Hayate and Zowie gtf-x are 2 mousemats i have interest in trying out personally as hybrid mousemats . low , but no too low of friction the internet claims .

Best buy the internet also claims is the zowie mat, well buildt, bigger , less prone to dust . Artisan mousemats have had alot of various issues if i were to trust the internets opinion . My shidenkai also has issues with some kind of dust\speckles buildup.

However if you want lower amount of friction , well then just get a regular not too cheap cloth pad, have not noticed much difference in them . Logitech g640 is nice , but a little sticky for my taste.

I'm using Hien mid large. Its like a mix between a cloth and hard pad.

I've been using an Allsop Mouse Pad XL Raindrop for over 10 years, no wear and tear so far.
If you don't poor whatever kind of liquids on to it on a daily basis artisan mouse pads should last for a long time.

What are you stream settings? I seem to get major lags recently

What codec do you use? x264, NVenc, quick sync?

What bitrate, and do you use CBR?

Which streaming software? OBS, DXtory, Xsplit??

If you're using OBS, what do you have Minimize network impact and automatic low latency set to?

mine is slightly lagging aswell, I can set up a 2 PCs streaming configuration with capture card and laptop, but fuck it, I aint playing competitively atm to care about lag.
as for settings:
- quick sync(x264 is fine aswell though)
- 3500 cbr bitrate
- OBS Studio(although old OBS Classic used to lag less)
- OBS Studio doesn't have those network settings yet

just thought i'd update you on my streaming adventure and if anyone reads this maybe itll help them out.

since i upgraded my connection to 19mb upload, using OBS studio im not getting lags anymore, streaming at 2500cbr with minimize network impact ticked. Tested by playing CTF games and I don't seem to get input lag, still can hit up to 55 lg and make high damage over a game.

I only lag if I use OBS classic now. Although I did reduce that by making sure its set to "Monitor 2", which is what I use for my game, so I think because it was linking to Monitor 1 by default and Game Capture was capturing Monitor 2, it was causing horrible lags. Not sure exactly what causes the remaining lags, but OBS Studio definitely seems to be lag-free and be more optimized with the connection than OBS Classic and it detects your correct monitor automatically. My CPU never exceeds 70% usage while streaming QL or OW :D Was probably just something to do with typical shitty UK internet :)

zero xsoft is perfect imo, not too fast not too slow.

Few weeks ago I tried the Zero Xsoft. It's basically a QCK Heavy, a bit slower/smoother, with the improvements of it being 4mm tall (instead of 6mm) and the logo is not intrusive.
