but i used to play an earlier version of this goldeneye pc source port, with real life friends, and actually it was fun.

dunno how much they improved their mod tho, i hope there's a lot of new weapons, maps, characters, etc, because some years ago the version i played only had a few maps/weapons/models.

i played this in like 07. the netcode is trash and armor respawns literally like every 10 secondslol..

Kinda broken in some places.
Like RC-P90 being super OP, on Stack it's also right by the armor.
Make a crosshair out of tape on your monitor and you'll never have to use the slow in-game crosshair again. Your guns are just as accurate without it.
With a taped crosshair it's almost instadeath for anyone entering your FOV if you have p90 or AR.

you gotta get yourself one of those gaming monitors like the asus 144hz that lets you add a crosshair to the screen.

I'm sure it will come out, there's too many people who want it to happen, but its such a powerful game there will be people out there who don't want it appearing on a certain console only, or will want a chunk of the obviously huge profits and will be as awkward as possible until they get that. Its one of those holy grail games.

I think you're right. The 20 year anniversary is coming up soon and surely they'll act on that.

Replaying the original right now with texture pack and mouse injection. Didn't necessarily have the nostalgia I anticipated but it definitely is fun. If you haven't played it with mouse before I definitely recommend it's awesome. You can really crank up enemy reaction time, accuracy and HP to give yourself a challenge. I briefly tried out goldeneye source 1-2 years ago. It seemed OK but didn't really grip me so I moved on quickly. Maybe if I had a few friends playing it I'd give it another try.
