My 2 Cents on it:

Shape is an improvement over G100s, despite smaller measurements it is more "filling",

Performance is as expected, low motion latency, good cursor path,

Cable might annoy a few people but can easily be debraided,

sides are WMO like plastic, not a fan of it tbh,

other than that there is not much to say, its quite boring because there isnt anything objective to complain about.

There is no weight inside, the shelldesign itself weighs more, and yeah, you can remove the sidebuttons, the pcb for them is soldered on though so if you ever want to use them again it would need to be resoldered.

Edit: Not needed though if you just want to get rid of the buttons though.

I was also happy when i first got my g100s and noticed that it was slimmer/less bulky than the original pilot shape. Sad to hear they went with a bulkier version again.

It works a bit better for me due to the tweaks to the shape actually, but if you want to see for yourself we could arrange soemthing.

Well, qsxcv weighted it at OCN, and the LED holder weighs 1.7g.

im sure if you took out all the LEDs and accompanying plastics and screws you would shed some grams, I still don't get why you guys like it to be so light though :)

It's just a preference thing, some people play better with a mouse as light as possible, where the mean weight value is higher, so manufacturers even put weights in the mouse (also to make it feel 'more sturdy').

Thing is, with this mouse I think there is not much weight to shed, if you want to preserve functionality 100%. Maybe 10 grams max which still make it about 10 grams heavier than its predecessor G100s

Microswitches are its last problem. It's horrendous overall build quality comes first.

This will be the mouse for me. I've been using the G303 for a while now and coming from a WMO the only thing I miss is the shape. The G303 has amazing buttons and the best sensor I've ever used. This new mouse carries over all the good things about the G303 and combines it with a great shape. This is probably as good a mouse as we're likely to see for a long time.

Pricing their product at 3x of its predecessor is a bold move by Logitech. This makes even Nvidia look good. How does the sensor position compare to the g100s? To me it always felt like it was a bit to far in the back.

haha fail as usual logitech. I experimented a lot with the sensor position with that shape (g100s@g303 pcb) and i can assure you even on the g100s the sensor is still too much to the front. You usually grip the g100 shape too much to the back, as it gets just too narrow to the front. So if pvh is right the new logitech mouse is even more bad. But even if the sensor position would be perfect, they should have gone for once with the mx300 shape. But that would be a too big surprise, huh.

Nevermind for me, i adapted to the sensei shape some time ago.

The G303 was around the same price on release I think. Of course they had to up it by $10 again, but we can't compare this on release with what the G303 costs now.
I wonder if they are going to produce G100s and G303 from now on even...

Still, damn man. I wanted them to make a mouse like that for ages. Could be lighter, yes, but if you unbraid the cable it should be good. I tried the G303 and it was great. And terrible. That shape is so aweful. This one is tempting.

The position of the side-buttons doesn't seem to be too good for finger grip. The weight kinda sucks also if it's without cable aka as heavy as g100s with weight. Still would love to test one.

This mouse seems god-like for those who enjoy the g100s and g303 but still found flaws in them.

Seems like many people are praising the g100s shape and the 3366 sensor. Combine the 2 and you pretty much get the perfect mouse for those people.

also sides buttons are only on the left side, so shouldn't be an issue, but yeah it adds some weight and i guess most g100s/g303 fans don't need them at all. But they are removable so should be ok :).

the only downside imho, and like it has already been said, is the weight of the mouse, 83g is a bit too much. 70-75g would've been perfect.

I'm actually more than happy with my Zowie ZA11 to change or try this new logitech mouse. 3310 sensor is more than good enough for me, i don't mind the sides buttons because on the right side of the mouse they are deactivated by default, and even tho i still tend to click on them because i'm using fingertip grip, it doesn't bother me at all, because they are easy on the fingers. While in game and focused, you just don't feel the buttons, it becomes kind of "natural" to hold the mouse.
The ZA11 is 90g, and there again, mainly because of my type of mouse gripping and the fact that my fingers hold the mouse very hardly, it doesn't bother me, i still feel very comfy with it. Tbh as long as the mouse isn't like 500g or something, it's fine for me :). I guess that with my type of grip i can still manage to move the mouse really fast and efficiently even if it's 120g.
The size of the mouse is also perfect (for me at least) because i got rather large hands, and the ambidextrous shape is just as i like it to be. I personally can't stand ergonomic shape (tried it with the razer deathadder 2013), i play better on symetrical/ambidextrous/simple shapped mice.
And finally, i really like the fact that i don't need any drivers to make the mouse word as i want it to work. I just have to plug the mouse into the usb port, then press the button below the mouse to set it to 1600dpi and bam, i'm done and it's working flawlessly.
So yeah, unless they release a new version of the ZA11, i'll stick with my current ZA11 forever, because it's a dream mouse for me.

I've had 2 g100s's last me forever and I've dipped around to different makes. (Currently the Razer Diamondback 2016, as I was a massive fan of the original DB back in the day 10 years ago.)

I'm looking forward to giving the new g100s styled mouse a go cause I've always been a big logitech fan.

I have g100s and it weights the same as this and I find it way too heavy. There's this huge weight inside that can be removed but I just wish it would come without it so I don't have top open it up and fuck up the mouse feet

Do you have the good PTFE feet (slightly glossy) or the plastic feet (matte look)? If the latter, you should switch them anyways for good PTFE replacement feet, they really make a big difference. But even if you don't plan to replace them, they will not break when pulling them off, only the PTFE feet might take damage, because that stuff is softer and gets bruised more easily.

Took logitech 10 years to finally make mx300/g1/g3 shaped mouse with decent sensor, still better then never.
Btw according to their site its dimensions isnt 115x62x35 (83g) but 116.6x62.15x38.2 (84.7g) Not a crucial difference, just to point out

G100s gives me hand cramps, G1 does not. I'm by far not the only one with this problem.

i noticed the g100s buttons slant from the middle downwards to the sides. kinda annoying. the g1 didn't have this.

Like it or not both G100 and mx300/G1/G3 all fell into same category of classic Logitech pilot shape mice.
Although i would agree the further they go in design from core mx300 shell the worse it is in many aspects

After waiting on the order page for a while I got a popup that gave free express shipping, had to use chrome and disable adblock etc and it didn't work in firefox for me.

Shame about the cable and the weight though.

Pros:

3366 > 3310 - Zowie 3310 feels smoothed to death compared

Clickers+Switches - Weight to press is closer to Zowie Huano but the speed and clarity is much more like g100s Omron, better than the too light g303

Scroll Wheel - much better than orthodox wheels

Cons:

Braided cable - stiff and heavy, it is getting better though after 1 week. Easy enough to fix if a deal breaker

Mouse3 - twice as hard as Zowies and much harder than lighter ones

No LOD settings - got to be really specific about which feet you use, 0.7mm Logitech MX300/310 Hyperglides would not track on g303

Indifference:

Shape - wish there were slightly more lips and curves to grip (side walls + clickers) but its an upgrade over the very smooth and flat g100s

Weight - Feels lighter than WMO/ZA13 which are both 80-83/85 max, it feels lighter cause of the wider shape much like the g100s with weight inside still feels lighter than both

End Result:

ZA13 much better shape and size to grip and throw around hard with its nicer cable, but the sensor performance of the G Pro has me sure I'm hitting shots and tracking stuff that i couldn't normally regardless of feeling much disconnect with the mouse movement

I feel the same about Zowie mice... The shape and the skates are god-tier but with the sensor, even though it feels good at first, it's as if I never feel comfortable that it'll track perfectly.

The Logitech sensor is almost perfect but then again, as you mentioned the LOD is so low that I always fear I'll lift the mouse too much.

Because that is the best way to describe the difference when you use both on 400 DPI @ same sensitivity wether its in game or windows.

This might be something you would never notice or care about unless you used both sensors back to back for hours or days but afterwards the preference will be clear in at least my case and quite a few people who did the same.

G Pro is a really nice mouse for me. It's like the G100s had a baby with the G303. If you like the G303 you'll probably like it unless you just hate the shape.

As promised much like my previous post with the G303, I'm running my G Pro through all sorts of games (mainly FPS).

Recently been trying to get my freak on with McCree in Overwatch since he's basically a walking deagle headshot machine aka hand railgun.

So far this thing is performing just as good as my G303 only I find this mouse to be severely more comfortable and the weight feels INCREDIBLY more balanced, while not having to deal with a battle rope-thick cable is a nice cherry on top too.

Crisp clicks even when getting a little crazy in an intense game of minesweeper while the side buttons feel incredibly solid, unlike other popular mice out there that may or may not really enjoy the color green.

Does this mouse have any acceleration? I saw claims that 3366 sensor has small acceleration, is that true?

lol no. 3366 or 3360 is the best sensor ever made, and it looks as though we'll never need anything better until 4K resolutions are standard :)

Had 18 gaming-grade mice (only solemn stuff, no indie or wireless or laser shit) in the last 10 years for longer periods of time and quite a few others for test purposes only, thanks to the biggest hungarian IT-forum's users.

Imo MX300 with its A2020 implementation is still the best raw mouse feel (ye, very slight prediction, but actually /care, just doesn't matter with this) I have ever encountered, even on 125Hz! Not to mention 500 Hz or above - completely different feel than the 125 Hz, which was already enough for me to sport a 95% W/L-ratio over 2300 games. : >

And the mouse itself is practically indestructible; my late 10-year old unit was in perfect working order (original microswitches as well) aside from the fact that it needed a little cable repair - after 10 years..

My second fav would be the Avago ADNS-S3668, aka Razer 3G infra.

Personally I prefer to have a slight amount of smoothing than angle snapping. G303/Logitech G Pro are perfect for me, I just need to work out how to swap the cable, because the standard cable is thick as fuck and even de-braided it'll be pulling on the mouse too much compared to lighter/thin cables.

I used a holder for WMO and it's useful.

Makes it useable, but you can still feel the weight of it. I'm pretty sensitive to any differences like that, including bigger or smaller mouse feet friction and so on. Just read some posts on overclock.net about changing the cable, shouldn't be too difficult. Now just to find a tiny screwdriver when I get home..

It's 2 screws underneath the top mouse feet, and 1 screw underneath the warranty label (breaks warranty obviously). Hyperglide announced they are working on mousefeet for the G Pro, but in the meantime I am using MX-2's and they work well.

Bought one of these and it cramps my medium sized hand.

Also, I play on a pretty high sens (1200) and mostly use my wrist. I feel like the shape of it, especially that it's so narrow and the bottom edges are rounded up, makes it easy to tip it over and have the cursor jiggle, if that makes sense.
I'm thinking about opening it up and adding weight to it or just return it and get something else. I don't seem to have much luck finding a shape I like.

Got this for a few days and using it on a new GSR pad. It's hands down the best I've ever felt a mouse track. If there's anything I'd complain about is some minor occasional drag from the feet. Which could either be the feet themselves or the pad not being completely flattened out yet.
I ordered a G403 as well because it had a huge discount and I'm pretty blown away at how well this sensor performs. Gonna hold on to whichever one feels better in my hand. I might even keep both!

The online shop I usually buy things from had it at 40% off as a Christmas sale. It wasn't a discount for Logitech's site.

I did the same thing, they're both almost 20 bucks off on amazon. The g403 isn't here yet but I've been testing the g pro. I agree with everything you've said, including the mouse feet drag unfortunately. I aimed great with it but its too small to palm grip. So I'm hoping the g403 will have all the positives (amazing tracking, great buttons, lightweight) without the negatives (drag, small size, slightly questionable shape).

I probably need more time with it to give an informed opinion but it's definitely gonna be nicer for you if you're looking to palm.
The feet also feel better than on the Pro.
Other things I liked better are the main mouse buttons which feel nicer to press and the rubberized side grips. The bulky shape and extra weight does make it noticeably less agile than the Pro though.

I tested both for a long time yesterday. To my surprise, I liked the Pro more. I realized that my grip was more of a palm claw hybrid, so I just shifted it a bit more in the claw direction and it started feeling really nice. I aim better with the Pro than the 403 and I really like how I can throw it around without effort.

I agree with all your comments though, and I would add that the Pro seems to lend itself to a lot of accidental right clicks. Hoping I'll adapt.

Wondering whether to put hyperglides on it to fix the occasional drag. Its already so light and small that I worry they might just make it harder to control. On the other hand, since its so light it should be easy to stop.

Are the buttons on this supposed to be loud? I think mine even have slight pre-travel. It's a 1628* SN. The 403 has much better feeling ones. These remind me of my 302.

Anon, if you palm go for the G403, sure it's a little heavier than the G Pro, a whole 4,3 grams heavier (83g vs 87,3g) but that's still pretty light weight for a mouse you palm. The sensor is better than anything else.
