If you're gathering data, it would be much less work for you to ask for sensitivities in cm/360 format. Now you will have to convert all the sens X accel X m_yaw/m_pitch values to meaningful values yourself.

Back in 2009/2010 I briefly took a break from my WMO to try out the Xai, and I would of stuck with it, if it wasn't for the cable going ka-put and the indeterminate hardware accel.

There are some new mice that have come out recently that are using the Xai/Sensei shape (However not the same coating). Try out the Dream Machines DM1 Pro and DM1 Pro S, as well as the Nixeus Revel. They have some small differences between them, such as the DM1 Pro using a different sensor (3310), whereas the DM1 Pro S and the Revel use the same 3360 sensor, but they have different coatings and different cables.

Maybe it was not clear, just updated my post.

I am controlling all the acceleration from an external driver (the QL mouse accel driver I linked above)
and set its own starting sensitivity at 1. This means with SensitivityCap 1.62 my acceleration can only take me at 162% of the base speed.

Basically my quake live doesn't need further acceleration by itself because the driver is already sending an accelerated input to the game.

PS: this implies if I set the same sensitivity among all my games, I' ll be playing with the exact same accel.

The way I see it, your maximum ingame sensitivity would be 3.7125 right? Or am I misunderstanding how the driver works (In which case, I might need to go over my settings again).

Keep in mind I play with halved yaw and pitch so my sens has to be halved too if you want to normalize it to the default of 0.022 pitch and yaw. And I use 1800 dpi so you'll have to scale the values further if you use a different precision... i am normalizing it at the commonly used 450 dpi:

You can poll uptowards 8000hz, however all of my WMO's tend to cap out at around 4000hz and they do it quite stably, of course you'll need to move your hand a lot!

There should be an included batch file that install a custom hidfusb.sys file of which sets the hz to 2000-4000, and there is another one for 4000-8000.

Which version of the Dechanic mousepad do you have? Speed/Control? How do you like it? Can you compare it to other pads?

i have the control and ive only had it for like a month maybe. I used to use the glorious 36x24 but it wore down to where my mouse was spinning. This one is a little slicker than the glorious..but i do feel like i have a lot of control. I like the feel of it, its feels like one of those hybrid cloth/plastic mat. I've used almost everything besides the steelserious cloth pads, just can't really remember how they felt.. but I like this one so far.. I also dont use conventional mousefeet so results may vary.. but its only 20$ for a big pad its worth the price just to test it out imo.

How does it compare to the Goliathus control, ofcourse if you've had it before.

didn't use that one, i wanted to try it but the design was too intense for my taste. ive only used the razer destructor back when i used hardpads.

That's good to hear. I had gotten my FK from a friend who had it for 2 years and then I'd put 1.5 year through it. Been lanning with it, thrown into a backpack full of stuff, it took some shit and still worked well.

i don't see the purpose of lowering/increasing pitch and yaw if you still have the same values for both. It's stupid, why not altering the sensitivity instead ?

Pitch and Yaw multiply the output of your mouse movement after all sensitivity/accel related computations took place. I'm not completely sure about this but this may imply that the slightest angular movement your character can do are pitch and yaw itselves for y and x respectively (this would be true if quake angular movement is expressed with integers hence the slightest movement before pitch/yaw multiplication would be 1...whitch i am not sure of). I admit i went sort of voodoo here, but to be on the safe side I decided to halven pitch/yaw and sensitivity accordingly just in case this would allow me to be more precise. In case I'm wrong the movement still works the same way as before. Notice though that lowering pitch and yaw further will soon or later lead you to floating point rounding errors, hence i stopped lowering it at 0.011 but you may find out something like 0.0055 still works fine. Haven't tested it further though. GLHF

yaw and pitch are linked to the dpi, and it's ONLY of use to change them if accel is involved.

mice dpi can vary between brands and even of the same brand (looking at you WMO).

Another good point. If you use accel you will be floating among your minimum cm/360 and maximum cm/360 ratios as described by your accel curve. This is another reason I didn't straight ask for cm/360 but the sensi+accel values themselves.

Oh yeah sure, the cm/360 need to be measured moving the mouse slowly for 180 or 360 degree, so the accel does not kick in.

With the variables you listed the real sens and real accel from post #60 can be calculated. Could be done in a spreadsheet, you can get the formula from here

Power and Offset for sure. I don't know about accelstyle but if you're looking into custom accel curves you should try the QL Mouse Accel Driver as it gives you a nice graph. Tinkering curves without a graph will soon or later lead you to no man's land imho.

Yes, this is from the config I use ingame.
All the cvars you mentioned from my config are set to non-default values:
- default sensitivity is 4;
- default m_pitch and m_yaw are 0.022;

EDIT: If you meant I could set my config to its defaults and do all the work from the QL Mouse Accel Driver... sure... I just got where I am through small tweaks time by time, the accel driver being one of the last ones... and never bothered to tidy up the vars.

That's what it looks like in my CFG but I'm a bit stuck, I used to use 2.25 / 0.025 accel, stepped up a bit so I can play team modes better but I got stuck at my current settings. If I go to 0.030 accel its way to high, same for if I go to 2.6 sensitivity

Every time I go to change settings I'm too drunk to do proper testing, I guess I might have solved my own issues

Goal is to make turning around a bit easier without making the sensitivity too high or unpredictable for LG

I found that using a sensCap helps in mantaining consistency for your flicks. The idea is that it's harder to coordinate your movements while at high speeds rather than when moving slow/average. You may try using the higher accel but capping the max sensitivity to something you find comfortable enough. You'll probabily need the GUI to know where to stop so give a look at the driver I linked in the original post and watch the youtube video from the good Kovaak someone linked above. Just my opinion.
