wmo qck+

I do like the microsoft ime 3.0, wmo is a little hard to find. If I could get an IME 3.0 in a matt finish, it's a nice mouse to have around.

Got a qck+ so I'll have a try with it vertical, it looks like I found a place to pick up a wmo afterall. I'll definately get one, just probably use it when I feel like 'hey lets get out the wmo'.

Good call on it being vertical, it's gliding better this way.

the mlt04 works better on the qck in portrait orientation

MLT04 is probably the best, if you don't mind the low malfunction speed, but the supermat is better than the qck+

It's more consistent, durable, arguably has better friction amount, and the qck has had tracking issues with a number of mice.

When I say objectively best, I'm thinking about how mice perform in an actual game for tracking enemies,

I'm happy with the FK1 when it comes to how it does on paper, I'm just not sure the 3310 sensor is best for real-world tracking.

g100s is definitely a good mouse, but its build quality is only average compared to any zowie's mice.

also some people prefer the tracking of the g303 over the tracking of the g100s. Also higher max speed on g303 sensor.

I subjectively don't care about objects that much.

Speaking of subjective, I feel that comes up a little too much. An ergonomic grip is what will work best for me for example, which is quite specific, as is requiring a good polling rate, no accel, etc, I think actual in-game tracking is subjective, the rest.. not so much.

g303 w a fast pad

fk1 and ec1-a got exact same sensor and sensor implementation. It's like IME 3.0 and wmo.

the only difference is obviously the shape, and also maybe the responsiveness of the buttons. People experienced too stiff/ input lag on FK series buttons. But afaik it has been fixed with the EC1/2-A and ZA 11/12/13.

so if you prefer ergonomic shape, then go for EC1-A, especially if you liked ime 3.0's shape. You could also try EC2-A considering the fact that it's closer to fk1 in term of size than EC1.

i guess you won't be disappointed if you try the EC1/2-A, in your case, it's a safe buy i think.

about the mousepads, i don't know much, but yes artisan mousepads are best in term of quality, but they are the most expensive ones. Zowie mousepads are good too.

I personally own a razer goliathus speed extended (very large one), and, for me at least, it works wonderfully, it's definitely a bit better than any QCK. Better because more durable and the surface feels a bit more comfortable than qck's. I cba trying any artisan mousepads even if they are probably better than my goliathus speed. I mean, for me, goliathus is good enough ;), and it's not so expensive.
In your case i would probably recommend sticking with zowie's products and try one of their mousepads, no idea which one tho :).

Yeah I think I'll like the EC1-A, I'll try to compare the shape to the FK1 which is only a shade too small for me, I think the ec1-a is just with a raised hump being the difference in length. Ordering tomorrow, which is why I asked to see what else may be good. As far as expensive goes, I can deal with that as it's more of an up-front investment.

Can't beat the indestructibility of Allsop XL which tend to last like 6 years on average. Mine was 10 years old when I retired it into secondary pad for my Voodoo box.

Also decent size & thickness, surface is something like between an Everglide Titan and a QcK - and the print on it is awesome. Not to mention it's cheap.

Anyone have any thoughts where I might get an artisan hayate otsu mousepad in the EU? Doesn't matter who sells it, it just looks a touch complicated getting it through customs in the UK.

customs clearance is done by royal mail, you just pay a standard fee and the import duty, nothing complicated just adds to price

depends how they describe it on customs form, some companies put 'sample' you wouldn't pay anything. But more likely you'll pay the £8 royal mail handling fee, plus a small amount of import duty.

Got my EC1-A today, tested it out for a bit and noticed immediately better aiming which I can only put down to the grip. Easier for the crosshair to go exactly where I want it to. Closest match I think I'm gonna get for "perfect mouse" for me, at least until Zowie updates their lines again.

I like the EC1-A with the qck+ but 'm going to go ahead and order a hayate otsu, as I figure they must deal with all the rest of that if they ship to the UK. Anyone have any thoughts on the softness? Glide will be fine for me either way, I'm just thinking about the consistency vs control.

artisan is quite overrated imo
for the price i'd rather get 4x allsop raindrops (which in my experience is extremely durable as well... i've used one for ~9 months now and glide is still consistent, pretty minimal fraying)

Well I would have to try before knowing if they're overrated as I'll know for sure if it works well for me, but I'm hoping they will live up to their reputation. If not I'll probably just end up with a "more glidey qck+" with some decent starting.

In terms of comfort no problem for me as I found even some hard pads comfortable, really comes down to how consistent the surface will be, and how much using a MID would effect the control. If nothing is lost in terms of accuracy and control, it should be very good for me.

Durability, I hope it would last a year at least with being reasonably well cared for. After that I'm not too fussy about it.

I've had 3 artisan pads, they all wore out really fucking fast and get dirty easy. But for the 2 months or so that they were clean and new it was really good

FK1 is a great mouse. I returned mine because I needed something longer than a rival or a ec1-a so I got a g402 and love it. If you have long hands its worth a try.

Best mousepad is probably the razer goliathus speed considering the amount of pros that use it along all different types of games. (yes I know most are probably sponsored but a lot of the best cs:go, sc2 and lol pros use it.)

I feel chosing a mouse really depend on your personal comfort once you find something that works. don't change it every month because it takes time to get used to a new mouse.

Ok late posting back but..

I got the ec1-a and the Artisan Hayate Otsu Mid. Best I can say about the Otsu is the tracking is better than plastic and maybe a slight bit better than my manticor (due to better control if I had to say why). Overall it worked out very expensive once shipping was paid for, the pad does collect stuff easily but I smoke so there's that. There are spots from where I wrested my wrist too. I don't like so much that my hand dips into the pad, it feels a little odd. Size is decent, sticks well, durability isn't what I thought it would be.

EC1-A is a great mouse for me, the shape has helped a great deal compared to the FK, just have more control with it.

The combination of both is better overall as well because of the wrist pain I got from using the manticor with the FK1. Control is really good, I just used stock feet and that was fine also HLG hurrikane go well.

The qck+ is a decent enough pad with this mouse, but the difference between the two is noticable.

I'm currently using a razer vespula mousepad and I love it.

Razer's Lachesis Gaming Mouse is my current favorite, looks strange without their keyboard and takes a while to get used to the concave contours but out-performs anything else I've tried.
