Why would you want to go around talking about what you did in a company that you stopped working for 20 years ago, and which has changed to the extent that it is now almost unrecognizable from the original company? Why let your past define you in such a way? Sounds like the guy needs to get a real job.
because they are the people who live interviewing him and asking always about the same thing, and he is not rude enough to deny all this?
It's almost the same thing when mike tyson is always asked him about what were your best fights, what are your favorite moves and how it was impacting on his life when Cus' Damato died, etc., etc.
They are fans and people who just know how to give value to the great things that a celebrity has done in the past to a segment that is always in constant activity. This is all about recognition and admiration of a legendary professional game-designer!
