Don't both wolfwhisperer and QLDT use wolfcam for demo playback?

you can record using OBS and wolfcam

you can use:
1. OBS to stream to file (write video with audio from screen. playing demo for example) to one file with encoding. Better CPU needed for better quality.
2. wolfcam-ql to capture demo to raw avi. Need some time, skills or scripts. Then edit raw in any video editor and encode.

use wolfcam-ql if you need quality.

Your problem with Adobe Premiere sounds funny.

yeah obs doesn't work well for me because of CPU so might need to wait until i upgrade for QC

i tried wolf whisperer which uses wolfcam and self encodes. there are a few quality options under wolf whisperer, one of thoese is 1080p youtube.

the avi problem is weird yea i think because the files are so large my CPU can't process the full files or something idk

Ah yes that can indeed be quite annoying.

I haven't used it for a few years, but I remember that what I would do was to record in little chunks (10 minutes or less) and then re-encode each video to a more manageable size.

It takes a little bit of extra time to do but at least the quality was good.

fraps quality did not come out that well actually i think because its CPU reliant? my machine needs an upgrade for sure

i think it's normal that premiere can't properly play the lossless avi files from wolfcam....

as long as you don't have ssd's, a lot of RAM and a very good CPU you will always have to "buffer"... i never really used premiere, but in after effects you can choose to preview the videos in a much lower quality or that after effects for example only renders every third frame... if you find these settings in premiere it should help with the performance...

you could also pre-encode the lossless wolfcam files before working with them in premiere.. for example with adobe media encoder or virtual dub (i think?) or HandBrake... if you go for something like 50-100 MB/s bitrate you still have a super high quality file but a much lower file size
