not sure how much you are going to like vulcanized rubber, especially if it makes makes your forearm or hand stick to it.

I'm guessing you like the flag though is part of it. Seems like cleaning your gun would be easier on a solid color :)

QCK+ is a quality pad but I prefer the QCK Heavy, been using one since 2008 and can't see myself using anything else.

Might have that one too. I think mine is a Heavy. Been very happy with it and its previous relatives. I just did a quick search for mousepads to show him there were decent cheap options instead of some unknown option or even saving for some magic glass one from Japan

Well yellow isn't really a good colour for mouse sensors, they're like cameras so generally darker colours are better - Maybe this?

my perixx mat got worn out (aka some spots got insanely high friction and several attempts to wash/clean didnt help either) after a few weeks. also causes some sensors go apeshit, can't use anything with a 3090 on them. which is pretty funny as some of the perixx mice have that sensor.

I have this pad (the XXL one) and I like it a lot, especially for the price. Its got a similar texture to a qck but a bit smoother.

Just get Steelseries+

its an interesting idea... i looked around an half the reviews for larger pads are all people who bought them for mousepads...so i'm sure they'll work as long as its not a non slip surface type. if you can find one that's around 24"x36" ill buy it and test it out..

Mouse pads are just an additional layer of aim distortion. They are either not consistent or do not remain consistent for long. This is a major reason why we see such variance in configs of players. Everyone is dealing with unique levels of friction and mouse weight. Things like sensitivity and accel barely represent any worthwhile information due to sens 4 feeling like sens 2 between high and low frictions setups. This market is saturated with useless shit people spend their money on. If a product is geared toward "gamers" chances are you don't need it and it's not gonna last long. My advice is to break the chains of planned obsolescence bullshit and figure out your own low maintenance setup that is as consistent as you can make it. Don't be a teflon cuck.

I think the tek mat looks fine but why don't you just pay a few extra bucks for a extended mouse pad? They can be very artsy and work well with keyboard and mouse. You have lots of room to manuever with the mouse and keyboard stays in place. Here are some extended mouse pads for those interested.

Even gaming mousepads sometimes have tracking issues with some sensors so I would never trust something like this. You say that cash is tight so go with something that's cheap, reliable and proven like a steelseries Qck+.
