Cypher is a pro. Even if they are friends Cypher if hes without sponsor team he will join to top clan not them. This is an avarage team in OW.

This is some pretty serious gaming talent though (don't know who mendzel is though).

I think it would be tempting to join such a team just based off of raw talent but the question is would the team take it seriously enough and practice enough to get good. But you're probably right that Cypher would probably rather join a top team like Rogue, NIP, Reunited, Misfits etc if a spot opened up.

I watched Cypher play for a while a couple days ago with So0n and he was looking in really fucking good shape with lots of heros.

Ozyria just renamed to Owly Six, they already played for a while

its the closest thing to quake that's active, makes sense :) there's quite a lot of game specific knowledge needed though so will take a while for them to catch up

It's a shame to see some of the best aimers in quake having to play like support roles or something. Those guys between them have some of the best aim in gaming, But I guess that's just overwatch.

Will be interesting to see how they play, cooller is doing really well with Misfits at the moment and Cypher is still godlike but I think without a team.

Wow, pretty crazy trade. I guess it makes sense to geographically have people closer together and with same 1st language etc.

Without knowing too much about some of the players, looks like Rogue did the best. So0n to me looks as good as tvique and probably skipjack for reinforce was a good move.

Misfits... they looked pretty strong with the old lineup and Cooller didn't seem to slow them down too much even when he only had 2 weeks with them before Dreamhack. Not too sure they did the right thing. The article thinks they did well though. We'll see.

No amount of raw aim skill will make you a good damage dealer if your team don't position and attack properly. Imagine having the top aimers in quake on one team, yeah they might do okay to a certain degree - however their ego will take over etc. The one thing I can appreciate about OW is the whole team dynamics, you get that shit polished and you'll rock - Watching some of the top teams out of boredom I've noticed their top dps players are actually so shit it's unreal, however their team dynamics make it so much easier.

OW is pretty subjective though because it's a team based game - Good teamwork = GG

Quake is down to your pure talent and ability. 1v1 if you fuck up you lose. Pretty simple really.

You can even liken OW to Dota 2 which I play a fair bit and it's the supports who carry the team, a good support will always make your team do well, so like I've mentioned about, team dynamics yo.

It's fun, I don't mind the game, even though I do bash on it a bit.

Bottom line is, they got really fucking really good at ow, and they are getting better, especially cypher. Cypher is really crazy to watch play.

TLDR: the contract was never really finalized, they did not get paid for most of expenses (3 months of bootcamp in Poland). Av3k wanted to represent Owly Six at QuakeCon, but they screw it up too.

So far it looks like he wants to go to Quakecon. If there is legal problem he most likely wouldn't be planning it.

At the moment we don't even know if he was sentenced. Even if he has ongoing process then it doesn't necessary mean that he can't leave the country.

From my experience when you apply for a visa to USA you fill a lot of forms and declarations and that is the moment when they check your criminal status. However Av3k most likely has his visa still valid and I don't think guys in USA have any access to any internal system in Poland. I'm sure there are shared databases but Av3k won't appear there if the court has not submitted a criminal record explicitly to this system.
