Other basic maps involve jumping onto weird places on space chamber and drawing dicks on the walls of the bfg room in dredkwertz or whatever that map is
when i first installed ql I lost some tier 2 CA games and then joined a tier CA 1 server (at the time these existed) and the players didnt even know how to move and shoot at the same time, so you had this guy shooting at me with an mg and standing still as he did it, and someone else was moving but not shooting back at all. I got back into tier 2 after winning that game.

This is the true test of quake skills, no lame armors or just 1 opponent, try 10 at once and lava... Cypher would never stand a chance if this real mans game mode was the tournament.
that's how every map is. 32 peeps on aero, ztn, eye to eye etc etc.
it's a real joy. and there's the added bonus of super lag and getting an average 50-75fps less than any other server.
>kill tyryl with LG
>he is visibly shaken
>"b-bot"
>"BOT BOT BOT"
>he stops moving and loses to an actual tier 2 player
>he says it doesn't count because he was typing
Since the steam release, this is pretty much the standard. Only clan arena and ffa servers, with ffa servers having always 14+ people limit and stupid non standard settings most of the time, like having all the weapons from the beginning, or rail doing 100 damage (why in the fuck would you want that); not to mention, the mappool consisting of ztn (14 people in ztn are an abomination to that map), asylum (this one map gets regularly VOTED for) and of course, the longest yard (the longest agony).
Pretty much all the worst maps for ffa are the most played, and all the dumbest settings are the most used. Quake 2017.
