Voted that I don't care, its not that important and it goes both ways. Easier for viewers to learn the game with gun models on, I think we should be able to make them transparent/translucent though.

Couldn't care less. I have never used it in any iteration of Quake.

The lack of this feature would be the last thing wrong with the game.

Well I wouldn't want id to hurt them selves by being a bit original and not copy+pasting everything.

On my part, I wouldn't want a new "Quake" being Quake in the name only. After playing those for 20 years. For a reason.

as someone who likes having viewmodels, i just hope we have the option to make them small and out of the way

Personally I don't really like when there are too many things that you can tweak in your advantage but the average player won't use.

Then when I kill someone I don't feel entirely satisfied by it (the same thing in multiplayer games when some players have access to advance weapons and some don't because they haven't paid or played for 100 hours yet).

Things like model color, or graphic detail level, are fine to me, because I don't think people mind too much about them and the visual change is gradual, it's not "on and off".

But stuff like being able to deactivate something like fog, hide the weapon models, or use some commands like timenudge and that sort of things, I'd prefer if it was impossible to do, because tons of players won't use it.

IT IS very important that they include as many options as possible (except for timenudge) because not everybody is the same,
somebody plays better with drawgun0 and somebody likes it with drawgun1.

so when you play against somebody, you want to beat him at his best right?
thats why quake is so awesome, you can customize the game to fit your playstyle perfectly ( everything from sens, accel, binds all the way to picmip and and lightning.

and obviously the people who know about this commands will surely not be matched against new players who play with music and "screen-shake on hit"

so yes i hope they add this and even guny,z,x and all kinds of cvars
