if you can do 60, that would be great. hard to learn the farter from 144 it gets with aim.

If you are going to stream for the first time then I recommend you to stream with the lowest watchable quality possible. Something no more than 3mbit.

The streams of non-partners only have one quality setting: source. If you stream with a higher quality setting then you will lose the viewers that have toasters (Quake players) or have eastern European connections (Quake players).

Afaik it's possible to just stream at 5k bitrate but there's a chance you'll get a warning/temp ban.

5mb up ? thats horrible, here in Norway the up speed is always same as down speed. i got 30\30 at the moment, might upgrade soon.

One cause might be the antilag function or whatever it is called, a second thing is stability , it has been unstable (suddenly going from 40-120ping), making it hard to adapt to a certain level of lag . doh

Might have to do with the housing cooperative i live in and all the traffic are routed through same main cable ?

Upload Speed Needed for 1080p: 3mbps-3.5mpbs
Upload Speed Needed for 720p: 1.8mbps-2.5mbps
Upload Speed Nedded for 480p: 0.90mbps-1.20mbps

720p with 1.8mpbs-2.5mbps is fine for 30fps

But if you want to stream with 50/60fps and 720p - 3.0mbps is the lowest possible limit with r_picmip 16.

Yes the ping is great with fiber...

Also it might be placebo, but on fiber ping 22 feels much better/stable then ping 22 on "normal" internet :)

I have a fiber connection but I think actual download speeds do not really reflect a good ping in a certain game. I think it still boils down to your location from the server.

Anyway, to answer your question, a 5MB upload speed is actually pretty good for streaming. Just limit your video quality to 720p and you should be fine.
