First group stage will have 4 groups of 5 players. Second group stage will have 4 groups of 5 players. Final stage will have 12 players.
Qualifying rounds are, winner bracket rounds are BO1, winner bracket semi's and on wards are BO3, loser bracket are all BO1. Group stage's are BO3, all final stage games up to the final are BO5, the final is BO7.
Loser of the coin toss picks or drops first.
For BO1: drop, drop drop drop, drop drop pick.
For BO3: pick pick, drop drop, drop drop pick.
For BO5: pick pick, pick pick, drop drop pick.
For BO7: Map selection is Coin toss winner pick 1st map (loser of map1 picks map2, loser of 2 picks 3 etc).
Top 3 from each group in group stage one will go into group stage two. Top 3 from each group in group stage 2 will go into the final stage, which will leave us with the top 12 .
Tie breaks: Tie breaks will be determined by match wins first, then points scored and thirdly by match Vs tied participants.
Fair Play:
Participants are expected to play at their full capacity at all times. Deliberately losing will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
Conduct:
All participants are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times. Abusive language, excessive swearing, and other forms of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Admins may remove any player for violation of this rule at their own discretion.
Timeouts:
Each player may call up to two (2) timeouts per map for technical reasons. Players are not allowed to call any timeouts for tactical reasons; doing so may result in a map loss.
Attendance:
All players are to check in on http://challonge.com/ with in the time allotted, this is normally 1 hour before the check in closes, every player is also to join the IRC #gametribecups channel on time as well so that the admin can see you are here and are ready to play and take part in the tournament. Any player who does not check in on challonge or is not on IRC #gametribecups with in the check in time frame will be removed from the tournament and most likely replaced by someone from the previous group or qualifying rounds.
