so you opened the file, changed the values of all the cg_crosshairsize to 16, saved changes and closed it?

or did you do something else?

do you get any error messages in the console when trying to use LG?

that was literally all i did and it broke the script that was working... idk maybe it was working because of some kind of bug

"bind mouse1 vstr +lgalias"

it's an alias not a vstr, remove "vstr"

though also, from what is shown here, once you've hit 6 to bind mouse1 to +lgalias, nothing else subsequently re-binds mouse1 to anything else, so you're then stuck with"sensitivity 1.3 when firing and sensitivity 2.255 when not, for ever, for all weapons.

All round this is also one of a few bad ways of dealing with this as rebinding your fire key with a +- alias on the fly, means that the -alias will not trigger if you swap to anything that rebinds the key again while fire is still held.

This is why I made the +zfire script for people.

To be clear, the cg_weaponConfig_XX list is automatically triggered when you change weapon, it's built into QL. Put your weapon settings in there, but keep _zFireOff at the end of the line if you don't want the +zfire script to trigger for that weapon, and _zFireOn if you do.



Other than that the only things that you should think about editing are loadLGSettings, and loadDefWeapSettings to put your own settings in for when fire is held or not.

I kept this in my cfg so people could use it if they want, but figured I'd post it again as the old thread with it in on the QL forum from years ago is long gone now.

I stopped using this weeks after creating it as I prefer everything being the same sensitivity and playing about with accel instead for better lg.

for some strange reason, my cfg used to work even though there was no call to reset my sensitivity again... i couldn't figure out why though, but thanks for the help... i'll try and get this set up asap, be expecting a response soon.
