Toxjq hands down, practicing since Quake 3 Arena OSP 2003 against him, he got me into Quake 4 1v1 where we spend infinite amounts of duel against eachother. Later on when he moved on to Quake Live in 2013 he asked me to play Quake Live duel with him when i was still playing Quake 4. He ment alot for me and my railgun 8>

my least favorite is dahang, he is an excellent player, but he makes me feel that he thinks he is much better from everyone here, just because he is a good player. I like his game, but not his character.

Ye but Cypher is better. Rapha won yeah in his first year 09 a lot titles ((typical newbie luck). Cypher beat the shit out of them on every quakecon (whe he attended). But rapha is good. He is #2 for sure.

In these three tournaments, both rapha and cypher played duel, and rapha got #1

Besides, thats not even the point I was making. My point is that Rapha reached a skill level in Quake duelling that nobody ever reached, at least for QL, which was the main Quake game in the last decade.

I would say that in terms of pure duel skills, they're both about equal.

Rapha was maybe slightly more consistent, but when both at the top of their game it's 50/50 who will win between the two.

Birding style is the fact to run very fast around the map and flick rail people you see . You can as well rocket them and SG ( very effective in close combat =) )

You need to be top 10 world in baiting too. Your lg accuracy must be minimum 40 and you need to know how to close dodge rocket and lg very fast. ( doing circle get you more UPS while walking/dodging ).

According to me , the best Bird ATM is T1hol without contest . maybe are other good bird , but i dont have the chance to play with them or i dont know them .

I've heard he played some QL recently stomping some decent players in Duel.

It's a loss that community didn't get a chance to know him better. He's so friendly and likeable person irl.

Cypher, for his apparently unlimited top skill ceiling, his dodging, his movement, but mostly his personality; he has (had?) lust for win, no matter how many times you fragged him, he always came back stronger to win the game; apparently completely immune to feeling any pressure even when all comes down to hit a flick rail in overtime or charging with only a rocket launcher or stealing the mega when the stacked opponent is near

He is ok, busy with life and rarely plays quake live, just for fun. Still good and smart at his play, btw. If he dedicated himself, I am sure he would have been top contender in a two years window.

Z4muZ with his aim and brain could easily be the best, he never had the motivation tho.
