1. save your current cfg, remove all the r_xxxx parameters and save them separately

2. delete all QL local content, reinstall

3. reset game parameters to defaults

4. load ur cfg without the r_things

5. add ur r_things bit by bit doing vid_restarts to see if anything gets fucky

The strange thing is, when I this map (local), I don't have those problems.
So maybe it's server side.. But then again, other people would have the same bug..

I'd start by deleting the workshops ( C:\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\282440\ can be deleted completely) tbh, especially if you've never actually subscribed to any manually, that makes it easy, it won't come back next load.

And try disabling post processing and colour correction as well in the advanced menu.

Few hours ago, I played Longest Yard on NAKED FFA, and at the floor and ceiling, I had one big white square.

Just don't understand, why I don't have these problems if I start those maps (Ragnarok/Longest Yard) locally.
Makes no sense to me.

remote servers run sv_pure and lock you into what is running on that server. Normally that should protect you from bugs rejecting any corrupt pk3 but sometimes there still seem to be some weird conflicts,

when you play locally you are the server, so anything on your system gets loaded.

Normally when these problems happen they are shown locally but then not a problem remotely, rather than the reverse as you say you have, I couldn't work out how this is happening without having the same problem here to try debug, but the sv_pure lock is the only local/remote difference that causes that kind of discrepancy.


Anyway, basically it's almost certainly rogue or corrupt pk3 files, so definitely wipe your QL workshop files, anything you're subscribed to should re-download the next time you start steam, then use properties - local files verify the integrity of game cache.

If that doesn't work try unsubscribe from anything in steam too if you have to -

Click the big COMMUNITY main menu option in Steam along the top, then WORKSHOP, search for Quake and Quake Live will come up, then on the right you'll see your profile avatar, 'Your Workshop Files' in blue, and under that 'Your Files' with a little down arrow, hover over that and you can select 'Subscribed items' so you can check everything you're subscribed to.
