Looks good, im currently in the lookout of a new printer actually, which one can you recommend?

Dunno shit about printers as they bore me when they stooped being like the ones's in the 80's, but I do know if you spend between £50 - £100 on a new one, you will get something very decent for most peoples needs.

If its for photos, I would get them printed online or via photo shop.

Tricky, you've already got a pretty good card, spending over 300 quid for about a 25 to 30% boost is not the best deal I can think of.

I would wait a few months for the next batch of cards, then see which games you want, how they run on your existing hardware, can you tweak the config or lower the res to keep that card?

Then if you do upgrade, you're going to get a real upgrade.

Just bear in mind that means your existing card drops in second hand value, so there is some merit in upgrading sooner than later, but depends on lots of factors which I'm sure you'll know.

I think you're right. Too marginal at this point. Maybe once Quake Champions is out I'll want to upgrade my whole system.

Same situation, got a 290x. My currency just increased in value so seeing these GTX1070's for cheap everywhere is tempting. At the end of the day if you are moving from a 290 though you probably want a GTX1080 minimum. I just keep telling myself to wait for the new AMD cards first, all the prices should drop then and it's only 2-3 months away.

It's good value, but with the 1080Ti and new AMD cards about to come out it's probably worth waiting. Also bear in mind newer GPU's have no analogue support, I recently bought a 980Ti as it's the last powerful card which supports CRT (yes i'm old lol). Paid £300.

I'd also suggest it's quite a leap in performance from your current card.

no input lag, perfect colour calibration - neither of which are achievable with LCD panels yet.

I don't see much if any difference between crt or my 144hz monitor, other than it's much easier on the eye and looks better.

Maybe it is different, I just didn't notice a huge one.
