Its not 4k, 3840x2160 is UHD and what noobs think 4k is.

4k and ultra HD are the same thing, its just that most ultra HD will upscale to 4k, which is normally on bluray players, when a proper 4k bluray player costs £500 and can read dual layer blurays or better

the z3 is nowhere near garbage, especially for the money, if you have 128GB sdcard, you can record 2 hours of 4k if your phone does'nt overheat

You killed your argument and proved my point when you mentioned up scaling. Any video or picture can be up scaled to any dimension.

That's not the same thing as native resolution.

There is no way to get from 3840 pixel to 4096 pixels without cheating.

If value for money is all you care about, then buy a 20 dollar keychain camera and you'll be set.

For most people with standards, if I am filming something, it might have to last a lifetime, so you deserve to do it justice by at least capturing it with a decent camera. 60MBPS is for 4k is not enough bitrate.

At the moment your camera has a lower quality bitrate than a go pro 3+ from 2013.

in a conversation where phones are being used as video recording devices, I don't see the problem with suggesting using a digital camera to capture video. Especially one that fits into a shirt pocket.

I have a nx500 digital camera and that does 4k (4096x2160), I also have a drone which does 4k (4096x2160).

Now I come to think of it, it doesn't matter because its only a few hundred pixels so who cares :)

I only do raw video these days, where my storage device alone cost £1200 so I accept I have lost the plot.

oh and I'll let you into a little secret, the main reason you're getting flickering in your video is because auto white balanced is set to auto.

So when I say your videos are flickering.
And then you tell me you'll enable auto white balance in an attempt to fix it.

cheap monitors have a life of 50,000 hours which is 5 years, and that depends on your contrast setting, whether life is shorterned

You never shot in 4K or ever will with that camera.

UHD is 4k, upscaling 200 pixels, is'nt like upscaling 720p -> 1080p and you still don't notice any difference

z3 compact here yo!

I used to have one before it got stolen. Was very happy with it. Now have a dying S5. Is it worth to get a Z3 again or are there better alternatives at the moment? Loved the compact size.

campacts are useless, you can't see much writting on a standard phone with the 1080p display, a compact would be useless

a stanard phone does'nt get in your way when its in your pocket and alway crouching and looking under stuff like a mechanic
