Tell you what, I think for team modes this is going to be great, as long as it's relatively balanced, your team picks should cover enough possibilities to be good at countering and offering a decent offence to the enemy.
For duels however it's going to be really difficult to find the right balance. Either you pick a hero that would be a good counter to Nyx for example, which means it might not necessarily be a hero you are comfortable with, or you pick a hero you are good with and play with a disadvantage as it's not a great counter to Nyx.
I think balancing is going to be the biggest obstacle for this game, if they get that right, seems the mechanics and stuff are decent.
i completely agree, however im a bit concerned about the balancing
i.e. if its a respawn based gametype and you spawn with your ability, something like this can make it super easy to just delete a player with super high stack fairly risk free
im glad that they realize a modernized q3a wouldnt succeed in todays market; this approach could work for team play, but they really do walk on a very thin sheet of ice when it comes to how impactful they make these abilities
1. Listen to esr and make Q3 remake with better graphics
2. No one buys it because "I already bought Q3 in 1999 so pls don't rip me off"
3. Start blowing cocks behind the train station to pay rent
