There's bound to be a concentration in the areas of QL popularity, but as it's a major new game launch with Bethesda backing I'd expect probably greater coverage than QL ever had, but we can but wait for any official information.

Beta supposedly being in "a few weeks" means that official information could come too close to beta release, and if youre region isnt covered, not much time to do anything for at least some time. Its a good place to be proactive.

This too! we know for a fact they are checking geolocation of the form submissions as they've already discussed where the sign ups were from in one interview.

Geography inside the country should also be considered. For example, I live in the Western Siberia, and with custom quakelive servers introduced I got to play with people from Eastern Siberia and Far East of Russia. They couldn't play before, it's about 100-150ms from Far East to Moscow. But now we have QL servers all over Russia, and it's a good thing for finding decent ping for every player.
