Models have different shapes in QL and previous iterations of the game, doesn't mean the hitbox has been any different. So i wouldn't be so quick to jump to that conclusion.
I was just wondering anyway, we'll know for sure soon enough. :)
It's actually a very good thing, as it makes the game be more intuitive (can't complain about hitboxes not matching the model) and serves for balancing purposes as well (nerfs tanks).
Yeah it would be an improvement definitely, I don't play another other fps games so can't comment on what hitboxes are like elsewhere. Good to know it's likely though, just adds another dynamic to what's seeming like an already well layered game =D
since even walking speed differs and max armor differs from every champion... different hitboxes will fit to make balancing almost impossible ;)
additionally we need different damage output and different weaponchange speed for each hero xD
I suggest to give Anarkin vq3 damage output (100rail, 8 lg + xerp and so on) + instant weapon switch for real q3 pro mode feeling.
Give the hero with crouchsliding q4 damage output and q4 weaponswitch (very slow) and give another hero qw damage output (yeah right 30 lg but crippel effect)
