brightskins most probably no, simpleitems dont know but also dont think there will be

they've made a combo of 3D and simple items. Brightskins, but probably outlines or somthing will might be introduced later on in game dev.

atm i get in QL 250 fps with the i5 6200 onboard grafik.

i think u can run DooM on 250 as well with a i5 7600k and 1070 with Vulkan API?

Your CPU is super fine but buy a gfx card, i recommend a nvidia 970/980/1060 or ati 480.

Doom caps at 200 but since qc isnt idtech it has nothing to do with it

I think playing back a demo in wolfcam is more similar to the graphics expected in QC

I think there won't be much room for tweaking as it puts off newcomers to the game. It also means they attract more sponsors for gaming events as they want to see 'eyecandy' and good gameplay not lego quake unless someone does a minecraft mod :p

now picmip 2 instead of 3 and removed some VERY distracting visual effects to make a compromise between visibility and closest look to QC

Inb4 the "config" is a binary file that you'd have to hex edit. If it doesn't come with some proprietary checksum thingy you'll have to guess.

They're going to sell cosmetic items, it's a F2P game, so they probably won't let you force models. It's a first person game so these cosmetics only have value if other people can see them, which they won't if they are allowed to force models.

yes but character models will prolly have shiny outlines or things like that. Like you said, I'm pretty sure there won't be forcemodels but still some kind of visibility option, like in Overwatch for example.

configs are for nerdz, and i'm one of them. I was in the dark side, now i opened my eyes and realized everything.

i don't even care now if QC will prolly be not more tweakable than overwatch, i'll rock it with default settings :D

it's not placebo nor illusion i can assure you 100%. At worst i just play the same than with my hard-tweaked config, and at best i play slightly better.

i beat some decent players at disadvantaged positions more consistently. I beat people i used to lose against 1 week ago. Could just be that i had a good day tho...

I see what you did here but instead messing our pretty QL config, I prefer playing quake3 arena on high settings instead -actually I've been doing this from time to time anyway, for nostalgia.
