I know that this is under NDA or what stupid other thing, so I have a question: what is the frequency of abilities? How often can you activate your abilities? Because as I already been saying, if the abilities are at our disposal every 10 or 20 seconds, instead 3-4 minutes then the game will be nothing like any other quake, because it will transfer all the weight of the game towards abilities in detriment of hardcore quake gameplay -just wait for the pro scene to start and you will see.

Ok I watched the trailer one more time and I can tell already that 35 seconds abilities cooldown (the same like powerups wtf?) are nowhere close to what it must to keep the hardcore quake gameplay in place. Because short abilities cooldown every player in duel would hide during the recharges and also because this the weight of the match would move from powerups to abilities, making more effective camping and running away while ignoring powerups instead fighting for objectives. QL already made a step toward "peaceful confrontation", now we'll have passive defensive gameplay on steroids + lipstick action. Ladies and gentlemen, the saga of games pussyfication is ongoing! I predict already bored as fuck duels with this mechanic.

Yesterday was a fun moment when I opened a chat in the QC. Some player there wrote "when they could so learn how to play I could not kill anybody" =))))

I also can say for sure that the balance of the gameplay was not made by the Quaker.

There are two big errors.

1. Some champions cant strafejump.
2. Reduced the effect of armor on gameplay.

And ofcourse abilities not balanced.

Another funny moment, some player wrote on their forums "When they make controller support?"

1 game played: WOAH DM6
10 games played: feels like "champions" quakelive dlc not the worst idea ever...
30 games played: what the point of abilities????? doesnt affect the gameplay at all. Almost no damage-dealing abilities ffs
