my first thought upon hearing the voices was that it was basically somebody reading q3 bot banter out loud.

The gameplay isn't fast enough... I'm kidding! It's too fast! No body moves that fast... too fast for me to enjoy. Doesn't feel natural. Looks too frantic and a mess for my tastes. The gameplay doesn't look fun to me. That's my two cents


This comment pretty much sums up the attitude by current generation of "gamers" outside quake community

1) Say how you've always loved Quake and played it in LAN with your friend/neigbour/brother/... or how you're a Q3 veteran.
2) Ignore the game when it comes out (QL)
3) When there's enough hype about QC you're forced to actually try it
4) Get heavily #rekt
5) Cry on online forums how it's too fast, unnatural, unrealistic, full of cheats,....

When anything becomes popular, the percentage of retards in it increases. It's like some fundamental law. The same goes for gaming.

Most old games were pretty quick, and now they want everything to be so slow. If I want slow, I'll play Myst. If I want realism, I'll join the army. :D

And actually QC is painfully slow compared to QL, except Anarki.

They should let someone produce footage who knows how to play an arena fps. Hint: running around nonstop like an ADHD chicken does not put you on the top of the scoreboards.

The classic QW rocketlauncher looks cool, but it looks weird compared to the other modern looking crappy UT looking weapons, specially because its in the middle then the rest arent't.

Also models have the same shitty animations as in Q4.

RL is in the middle because they didnt jerked it off that much as all these overdesigned weps.

It just looks out of place.

classic qw launcher is a special skin/ingame item you can acquire, its a weaponmodel for the veterans ... the normal rl looks different ...
but that being said, I also think the weapon design could be better all in all

I cant believe that this community have full of retards. Why do you judge first beta tests already? For god sake its a beta only so far. Game has not been released yet and it will be like in 4-10 months so please stop complaining do that job when the game will finally be released

So what I gathered from the commentary is that it is fun and whatnot, yey quake which looks like nice, but everything and I mean everything connected with the moronic idea to insert champions, hence make it a casual MOBA/hero-arena wannabe, blows goats, does not fit at all and ruins every instance of the game where having a unique hero actually takes effect.
