It will be very time consuming to get this game balanced. It would suck if you are literally forced to play with a certain champion because the others will not be good enough in the long run because of certain deficits in their range, agility etc.

I think you're misreading him.

One thing you have to notice, is that the interview is timed. And if you look at it closer, it's one foreign portal after the other. First - it was the french, now - the germans. They're trying to widespread the word.

When he gets thrown an answer, he cannot answer straight. He cannot give a simple, dull answer. He has to gather components into the speech, where he advertises the game. He cannot give out too much, and he cannot tell too little. It has to be interesting and hype-forming at the same time.

It's a very difficult job to do, especially when the interviewers are asking some questions that are "out of the blue", or if they don't let you prepare for these questions before hand.

I think he's been doing interviews all day long that day, and he's quite tired.

The questions are as basic as they get, they don't even require thinking.
If he struggles and stutters so much for that stuff, maybe they should interview someone less socially awkward.

I've seen quite a few community managers of AAA+ titles, who do exact same thing as he does. It's called promoting. It's so obvious, I don't get why you're trying to find some deeper meaning.

And the interview is not that awkward if you think about it. He does look tired, he looks like a person in some sort of pain. Be it "I want this interview to end ASAP, I've done 5 exact interviews like this today". Other interviews, when shown, usually have music+gameplay footage+other stuff, whilst the interviewed person is talking. Here - it's mostly just him, for prolonged time.

And if you look at his interviews, they all basicly say the same. He keeps repeating things he HAS TO, and it looks like it has taken a toll on him.

I suggest you savour that energy you put into hating on a person you don't know, and use it when QC's Classic (duel / tdm) mode comes out, and make constructive criticism/imput, that might actually help in the long run.

After he made last Doom (afaik, made it even twice, because he decided to rebuilt first variant from scratch) and that was a real succes and at the same time had the spirit of the original series, Mr. Willits sure got some credit of my trust (well... not unlimited).

Doom is a very good example here.
Whilst the firsthand idea was tunnelvisioned (almost the same way QC looks like right now), they actually turned it all around and made an awesome game.

And above all, Tim made q1dm6, q2dm1 and q3dm6. That manlet is a legend.
