RIP duel

I don't like how the rounds system breaks the pace of the game. Constant gameplay was what made Quake be unique back in the day.

The same can be said about QC in general. 5 minutes of waiting time (queue+countless screens) to play a 5 minutes long TDM match. That's not Quake.

note that there are no timers at the item spawn points. so it seems they're only visible in "unranked" matches. which makes sense.

I could say "it would be sad if it wasn't so pathetic" and to some extent I do, but it is kind of interesting. Could you maybe just not call it duel?

Call it something else or at least add something to the word "duel" like ... hero-duel or what fucking ever - 3 hero duel, 5 hero duel ... jsut stop confusing people.

This atm is like having a starcraft tournament where a match consist of a 3bo where each player has to play each race at once. Interesting concept but not classical 1v1, it's 1v1 with a twist.

Elimination.

That sounds plausible. You are attempting to eliminate the opponents three best champions...champ elimination, 3 round standoff. Something like that lol.

this idea is not new, it was called hooneymode in cpm and for newcomers to duel its probably better off than classic duel. However, that being said we need classic duel too.
