One thing I've noticed with game development is that when the basic infastructure is in place (i.e the engine), refactoring those systems almost never takes place. And according to this trello, it's mainly content updates. Makes me worry for the future of the game when it still feels so floaty and unresponsive.
Add slight air control for all chars so they can navigate through twisty maps better like Corrupted Keep.
Disable all abilities for the last 30 seconds of duel.
Consider making NYX take damage when invisible her special is not constantly used to get out of making mistakes. Yes you could buff her health and Armour slightly for this.
Duel mode is not really working, if you insist on this format, consider allowing characters to be used twice in every round to ensure average duel time is at least 3 mins a round and to discourage over emphasis on first kill.

what they basically said is "Community have in a very harsh manner dictated the rail and lg damage , if you want them to be weaker at this point, well your idiots "
And it is true, alot of people have been pushing 100dmg rail, and its like ... what ? thats idiotic , with 80\90 rail as it now , its already too powerful . So many games arent quake, its the sniper camp game.
The only way 100dmg rail could in any way be defendable is to make rail 50 with twice as fast reload time .
I like this idea of Nyx taking damage during her ability, puts more focus on the tactical ability rather than free out of jail card whenever you are about to get stomped.
Better to replace her ability entirely than do that because it would be almost useless and definitely not powerful enough to require a 40 second cooldown.
Its primary use case, outside of perhaps duel, is to flee on low hp. It would be incredibly easy to finish her off invisible or not.
Maybe the current usage is dictated by it being the "free out of jail card" and people are keeping it for those situations. If they saw that the ROI of keeping it for escape is not that high they would start using it more as an offensive tool.
I think it depends on the game mode. In duel, I've seen people do some dastardly things with it, but outside of that, it tends to be much more useful for keeping your weapons instead of having to respawn and pick them all up again.
Yes, removing the most useful function will cause people to use it for its less useful function, but it still becomes a far lesser ability, so the 40 second cooldown would be too long IMO.
Cool down times, armour, health can all be changed in seconds.
Perhaps its invincible for the first 1.5 seconds, there are lots of obvious variables, the most important thing is, do people think its a problem in existing form.
I personally think so, abilities are fine, but don't rape the very fabric of the game with them. Visor Wall hack, 9/10 its used to get opponents location and in all honesty, if those players just stood still for 2-3 seconds, they would probably get an audio cue which does 85% of that ability anytime in the game.
I have a problem with a lot of abilities in this game. Everything about them is cheap or annoying, and that is intentional. I don't see Nyx as standing out in that regard. In fact, since her ability rarely kills me, I find it less annoying than, say, Sorlag or Scalebearer and probably now BJ too, whose abilities give them frags regularly.
Which game mode we're talking about is also gonna influence things a lot as well.
It's funny because the passives in this game are a lot cooler than the actives. :D
Not sure. She might be too strong with more hp, but she wouldn't need the escape ability so much.
Lorewise, her ability would be kinda strange if she could take damage, since she's supposed to be in another dimension or something and goes right through people.
TBH I think her ability is more annoying than OP. It only lasts for three seconds and has a 40 second cooldown. And a lot of abilities in this game fall into the annoying category.
Very much indeed, but I don't think it is. If you read their intranet they speak of a new female character (Athena, special ability - grappling hook), and I hope this is her.
