I would really appreciate if that could be done. There are no more Hangtime maps left, this is the last one. They are a masterpiece though and I wish more people could see this video so that they can experience what it is like to play one of them :) @admins

Indeed. It even has an unconnected lobby room, in case the timer resets upon death someday. Would be nice to see a clean run on that as well.

somehow, defraggers must have an even more unbreakable mindset than the most hardcore duelers out there. a mistake in duel can be pardoned - but one missed circlejump during one of those runs and you're done.

I think they must be some of the most patient people around.

There is less ego involved when you only compete with yourself though, so it's not as frustrating when you fail. :p

I played q2 jump mod for years and i reached a good level in it, you kinda create your own momentum when you do those maps, you try it again and again for hours untill you master every single little detail in the map and then you start playing for the highest scores and start beating old times made by some previous jumpers.

But really, its all about gaining the right reflex and momentum when doing those long hard maps, you just get too focus and its like you are the one jumping and doing all those circle / ice / double jumps, it is frustrating sometimes, especially when you make a perfect run and then ruin the last jumps.

Takes years of practice and dedication to be that good tho and it became a personal challenge to beat certain maps, its not about the game anymore, its about overcoming your own limits :)

Actually you compete against other jumpers times, Defrag is all about 1vs1 most of time.

These are the kind of maps that defrag is all about. To see someone do it flawlessly and with confidence is prominent and inspirational. Respect deserved and respect earned!

On a side note, I've been trying to formulate just how a defrag block would work if it was accepted for Games Done Quick. This would require defraggers who are very clutch on difficult, popular maps. Seeing someone complete gnj-finaltorture, hangtime 1 or 2, w3sp-pgultimate, eastrun, and any other challenging maps live is something that needs to be seen globally.

Awesome idea to include Defrag in "Games Done Quick". That could add some serious exposure to Quake, given how popular those streams are. I bet many people would have their mindblown.
