too colorful like all id games with no saturation, its probably more along the lines of classic gameplay, with all the gore nests left in you would have a serious neck injury after your first week end, especially with this nest
we got ps vr in this house, its not very good, low resolution etc .
But VR 3D as an experience is really cool . It is the combination of VR and 3D that is great, As an example 360 VR video is just boring, but 180 degree VR 3D video, that is actually pretty cool, when i tried it, it made me want to buy a 180 degree VR 3D camera.
But .. this teleportation for moving is absolutely idiotic, just give atleast the option to choose for ourself how we want to experience it.
Just because we now are in VR world, it doesnt mean that our heads cant comprehend that we use controller for movement, not the feets. Just imagine that your in a MECH , doh.
-Teleportation, stupid
-Freelook just as a mouse , probably the best, even tho some might struggle with sickness, controller for shoot , jump, sidestep etc as normal .
-Head movement tracking , controller for aiming and turning . Could be awesome, but many would be sick , if they keep turning theyr heads constantly .
Would love to try DOOM in VR , but not this game beeing a handicapped doom hunter , makes no sense.
Would also love to try Quake VR , any game, q1 q2 q3 ql qc , freelook . Single player or multiplayer, dont care, i just want to be INSIDE of the Quake world , atleast just for a few hours =p
Actually if i could choose a VR experience out of all the Quakes, i would probably choose Quake1 Singleplayer.
Because of the lower resolution, todays VR works best with simpler graphics, especially PSVR, which is about the half of valve\oculus offerings.
you walk like normal using the controller, the teleportation thing is just an option and part of some bio implant you have because you are some scientist instead of doom guy
i own the rift with touch controllers and i cannot play (fps)games for more than 5 mins without teleportation combined with room-scale, it is very smooth to navigate in these games for me, zero-gravity does work aswelll. best example might be robo recall. that might be an issue with not liking controller moevement in general.
when i switch to stickmovement, the game feels like playing half a console game and i would like to sit down. people saying you skip a lot due to the fast movement with teleportation, but every time you teleport you're taking the room with you and you should be encouraged to explore and inspect the given room by foot. superhot does this by making you dodge.
