I should mind my own business, but why did you get a G Pro when you were so convinced about getting a new EC-1 in the first place? It's such a completely different mouse in all regards. I'd even go as far by saying the G403 would've been a 100 times better choice being a righthanded mouse with more 'grab' and palming ability than the G Pro.

I still recommend you to opt for that mouse and even add it to uour 'also tradable for' list.

Yeah I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't think it would be so small and that I'd have this much difficulty adapting to the shape. I had a G403 in my hand today and it felt much much better...

Heartless is right about build quality being sub par in some of them, their quality control is questionable since I had to RMA a couple of mice before, but if you get a perfect g403 it makes you forget about all the mice you had before, excluding the IME 3.0 which was also a monumental mouse by itself for me (and mx-510).

Sensor is so accurate and raw that you never feel that missing is mouse related, real 1:1 feeling. 100% confident in aiming. It's relatively lightweight and software is slick too.

I don't have a lot of bad things to say about this mouse other than they might have some issues out of the box like a rattling scrollwheel or aide buttons which are placed too slightly low but situation A is RMA, 2nd is getin used to. I palm/claw hybrid and don't want anything else to be honest.

I actually did the same... G Pro is nice but after some time you just notice that it's too small :(

Yeah, it's like instead of getting used to it it feels like each day I get more annoyed by the size and shape.

I had the gpro, sold it straight away for the same reason and this seems to be the general trend, v. happy with the G403. Gets better with time too.

Can't see me moving on from it.

quite some love for the g403 in this thread. i bought one about two weeks ago (based on rocketjumpninja's review) and absolutely love it. it's really snappy as fuck, feels very 'natural'. also the shape is good for my high sens.

one question though: who of you fuckers used the "surface tuning" of logitech's software? what does it do exactly?

Just got one myself. Not sure but I enabled it for soft pads. Maybe it optimizes the LOD for these kind of pads?

For those who don't know it offers a profile for the LOGITECH hard and SOFT mouse pads, neither of which I have.

The soft pads are the G240/640 etc.
The hard is G440.

Its probably a way to try and get you to move over to their mouse pads, but I did not select it as I was not sure the properties of my QCK+ matched those of Logitech, hence default setting.

I get the feeling this is not worth worrying about too much, but if there is any evidence and someone knows different let us know.

with my gpro it didn't work on default settings on my qck heavies until i did a custom tuning for them

Leave it on default, there have been numerous reports that the surface tuning made mice loose tracking on non Logitech pads.

Has anyone with a g403 bought any replacement mouse feet?

Looking at takasta's Hotline Games feet but they come in 2 thicknesses, 0.6 and 0.28mm. I assume the 0.6mm feet are they way to go?

Thicker is usually better in my experience, but it all depends on the LOD of the sensor. I believe the G403 should have no issues with 0.6mm feet since the drivers have LOD adjustment.

I use corepad skatez and they are as good as it gets.

It is a cheaper version of the g pro, the sensor is similar.

g400 still the best for me. I might buy an extra one as a replacement and will try to resist to new temptations
