just put it back in on 650 watts for 2 mins, makes it kind of normal

500 watts for 2.30 works good for a quick munch, by the time you get to your car it would have cooled down and have more taste

probably need lower watts and longer time, some potatoes are abit dodgy

i bought a microwave. it was an upper-middle-class microwave. the door is extremely loud when it is closed, the buttons are very loud, it beeps very loudly when it's done cooking, and when operating it is very loud.

all i want from a microwave is for it to be quiet from start to finish.

the door is'nt that loud, its louder then most microwaves because its tougher to open because of the child lock

having a fan you can actually hear is better then steam build up and your microwave catching fire like most £60`ers do

having real fans in a decent microwave, lets you cook chickens even without having to spend £600 on a new cooker with a fan assisted oven

there's not many microwaves to choose from if you want a modern microwave, this hotpoint is probably good all rounder for the home, the office block, fancy depot's and factories, especially with the auto clean part

the pizza is'nt that bad, if you put it back in for a few minutes, the center is cooked, unlike most ovens, so you have a even golden crisp cheese layer all over the pizza

damn right, there is science to defrosting food, which involves not destroying any cells at a molecular level, which is the same reason you simmer vegetables instead of boiling

I don't think it has as much to do with how it's cooked as opposed to how it's frozen. The quicker you can freeze something, the less ice crystals form. Ice crystals are like daggers to food. If something is properly flash-frozen at the factory, it should keep it's shape and texture when cooked. If it's not frozen properly and/or is allowed to thaw (even partially) at any point, you'll get ice crystals and a mushy blob of food at the end.

Then again, what kind of sick fuck boils vegetables? Unless you're making a broth or something, the only vegetable that should ever be boiled is potats for mashing. Or on the off chance you're doing a crab boil.

I microwave just the meat (I discard the buns) from a Flame Grilled Rustlers 1/4 lb'er then use the meat in various things from pasta, pot noodles to simply dipping in a bit of brie.

The problem is that at the recommended settings (900W: 65 seconds) the beef tends to have a soggy texture and I believe this is because it isn't t taking into account the absence of bread.

The setup I have is a stock Samsung 23L Ms23K3513Ak/eu plugged directly into a 13a socket, the burger is being 'waved on a 3/8" (9.53 mm) thick ceramic plate and the ambient indoor temperature is around 20 degrees celsius (I always allow the Rustlers meat to settle to room temperature before microwaving).

I know I've not provided much information and our models of microwaves are vastly different but any help or suggested settings would be appreciated.

Try using a lower watt and setting the time longer, you have to get the balance right so you keep fat and steam off the rest

its why chickens are done in lbs and can take 4 hours
