No problem. I've always seen my work in the modern days of esports as akin to an esports Robin Hood, taking money from the rich (popular esports games) with my content to give to the poor (forgotten/smaller esports games I love - QW, QL, BW etc.).

I really enjoyed following that PK world tour.

vo0 has actually been one of the more successful gamers in terms of money earned. He's been quite fortunate in that the two big paying FPS tourneys has suited his skill set.

in hindsight I shouldn't have been so negative about CPL back then. It was the best we had and still was. All those mobas these days. I kinda don't care about it at all.

wait what painkiller and 'everyone super active' we lived in different universes back then because the public pk servers were completely empty except for a few rocket arena and FFA's.

He meant among those 17 top players.

apparently because later in the interview he also says that you had to be in the correct irc chans and that playing online was horrible and the game failed.

The painkiller server browser was utter dogshit, however IRC was 100% where it was at, could always find as many duels as you wanted if you were in the right channels that is.

I wouldn't know which channels were the right ones then... I tried to get decent games going for months but I could hardly find practice.
There even were very few online tournaments which you could use to get any decent opponent.
And ye I did talk to several players who went to the CPL events about how they found games and they all said that they only practiced internally.
