-Longest yard and Aerowalk probably won't be added to Quake Champions (wouldn't work in Quake Champions)
it's one thing that old maps won't be added - it's probably a good thing that there's no more Aerowalk for duel, as much as I love it, and longest yard would be fun; it's quite another that old maps don't work. Not to be hating, but that is genuinely sad.
If they release a vq3 factory (if just for custom games like CA) they open Pandoras box, by that I mean splitting the community which isn't that big to start with... How would you guys like to play CA in a QC environment? I think I'd find it a bloody mess, trying to see who's who on the bridge of DM6... For it to work they'll need bright skins and introducing bright skins in CA will ineviteably force them to do so in other game modes too meaning their economic model will be going down the drain unless they'll concentrate sales on models instead and the game will become pay to win unless you as a player go to vq3 servers only and so forth...
CA could propably lure in a couple of players but for the game to grow bigger they will need a good competitive team mode which can be played by beginners and pros alike with the same satisfaction. Can't understand why they haven't tried out ctf (a mode that propably would work out fine with champions) yet... Hell, maps don't even need to look pretty either since the game is in early acces.
A map editor? That would have been gold for developers AND community...
I can't help but feel like Freezetag is a good mode for newbies. Much prefer it over CA myself, although the community doesn't mind CA as much as I thought so I won't be protesting it too much.
The :D :D :D is cry of despair.
All that "we gotta change Quake!" comes to "vanilla quake live mode".
Kinda funny.
Kinda sad.
