The Orville is a much better Star Trek series than Star Trek Discovery...

there are some flat jokes in it, because it's technically a comedy... but apart from that it's very similar to TNG

Discovery is garbage. They somehow have a lot of crucial thechology which those after them (TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager) didn't have. It's just fucking retarded, feels like it's written by people who never watched the rest of the franchise

It might seem like an original concept, but what they really did was steal Marvel's Lockjaw, change the beast a little, put it in Star Trek, create a cheesy story around it and try to sell it to me.
And I've even watched 5 or 6 episodes.
