Because most old Quakers stopped playing Quake over a decade ago. They play other games now, that are way more fun for casual play (PUBG, OW), or enjoy real life.

In the old quakes you had no excuses, if you lost, it was your own fault.
With abilities, different stacks, speeds and hitboxes there are so many reasons why the game could have been lost or won.

I played some duels in QC and I sometimes won and thought that it wasn't deserved. Or the other way around.

So I'm not specifically refering to the "old" quakers but to all players from the old quake games.

steamspy says about 300 000 copies + unknown quantity bought with bethesda launcher. lets say the bethesda amount is about 20% of the steam sales. then its about 360 000 in total.

im not sure what the average price for these 360 000 was.

personally, i bought qc for the price for the CIS countries - 900 roubles or something and that equals 15$.

while the usual price was 30$.

lets suppose that cis players are 20% of the qc population.

so its 72 000 x 15 + 288 000 x 30 = 1 080 000 + 8 640 000 = 9 720 000 $

minus 1.5-2 millions spent on the promotion last year and about 1 mil this years its about 6-7 millions.

and that doesn't even include the money from the micro-transactions, skins and shit.

They have been promoting a 5$ scalebearer starter aka noob pack for some time now which might have increased the sales a bit. Scalebearer is the absolute most zero skill champ in the game now, just hold +forward to accelerate quickly, if you bump into any enemy you deal free damage and they made his bullrush fully turnable so it's possible to more or less spin around with it.

They've reduced the quads in FFA from 4 to 2 making him way less effective in FFA given his ability was one of the best quad collectors. I barely even bother collecting protection @ 4m & 8 mins.

Only complete noobs will allow you to get so close than you can bump into them without returning fire.

On the duel leader board page there isn't a single scale bearer in the first 10+ pages of results which represent the top 100 players.

In TDM, there is one SB in the first 10 pages of results.

His starting health is 150/50 and is supposed to be a tank.

Yet Doom Slayer and Visor start at 150/25 meaning you lose off the spawn fights to the same skilled aimer every single game due to hitbox size, despite you being a tank vs their medium. Its absolutely retarded.

I could live with this however the movement "enhancements" are much more annoying.

I am not really against adding all kind of champions. Although I do think this one is a bridge to far.

My biggest gripe with current QC game is the implementation of everything BESIDES gameplay.

Queue times / No website to explore rankins / No match history / No player profiles / half the times no player names on game screen / worst rematch functionality ever / No continues play / constant shitty loading screens / no community feeling / no 4on4 tdm (real TDM without weapon stay) / No unranked modes? why not keep it all very straightforward.. for every mode there is ranked and unranked? / Voicecom settings? currently somehow the input is very low and you can't set it up properly / shitty sound overall / No CTF. etc etc (you can basicly continue this list forever)

So many things to do and what do they do? only talk about new champions.. ffs.

Guys please take a look at my following balance suggestions for clutch. I think they fit the game pretty much by the direction it is currently heading to.

Further more it will solve the balance problems completely.

While using the active ability, clutch transforms into a formula 1 car (because he is a transformer from the movies and his real name is optimus prime but id didnt had the money to afford the licenses).
While shifted to a formula 1 car, he drives around the map with 5000 ups. This gives him a huge advantage by collecting major items.
During his time as a formula 1 car, he is not able to perform attacks but he can receive incoming dmg.

Let me hear your thoughts.

I think a Formula one car should not just be an ability but a new Champion. When it dies it explodes and deals collateral damage, really great Passive! Active ability should be a flying ability just like the greatly designed Strogg Champ!
