More gore is exactly what the community asked for!
QC doesnt need CTF or CA. Btw why is it so complicated to do a new rule setting for CA? Its not like CA need specialized maps or sth like that.

It's like id has many gfx artists who continuously push out new skins, but also has a shortage of tech and gameplay programmers.

I wonder, what will the fps penalty be with this gore system. I already get ~20 fps less with every additional player on a server.

What are the mechanics for this? Because this could easily be another dumb champion ability. They could have a monkey character who throws banana peels at his feet to make him go super fast or other players feet to make them slide off in some direction. Or, you could go the Q3 route and just have a cool monkey character whose design just has banana peels on his feet.

i was thinking something along the lines of q4/cpm with far less air control.
simple boost for speed. no CJ's .

the banana peels are always on. just a way to fit cool movement in with an actual physical reason behind it.
slippery banana peels.

if there were monkey classes it would be for specific game types. team based.
gorilla
chimp
orangatang
spider monkey.

nice, ... i like that they were talking about presentation and dynamic gibs, you can see its still needs some more work. In that clip you are almoast blinded by the blue blood you hardly see gibs. But ye definitly awesome.

After first coming out trying to be a cool, clean "e-sport" game for kids, and saying q3 veterans can stick to old quakes if they like them more, they realize kids still don't give a single fuck about that crappy game, and are now begging veteran players to come play this new game, using gibs as bait.
