I have a friend who was a really big fan of Polosatiy and the Russian scene as a whole. At some point in his professional life he somehow stumbled on the man and wrote him a fan mail or something. That was more than a decade ago and I don't really remember what exactly had Polos told him but he was really disappointed and somewhat annoyed :D

I actually met Polos at a grocery store in Moscow many years ago. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I'm 34 years old and I remember how good you were in quake3. You kicked fatal1ty out from some tournament. I played using your cfg downloaded from cyberfight. There were many cfg's at cyberfight.ru. It was really good job with this site. It's a good idea to make such a interview with lexer, unkind, jibo if you are able to find them.
Regards and you should make materials about old times it's nice to watch it.

In Lithuania we had same personality like him , quake player Nova. He was everage player, when became best in LTU, gathered players in to one clan,we got support and sponsors, then started site project, kinda left playing, just was working on project and so on...

...and after 20 years I still have not figured out how polos made the jump on The Edge from +2 health bubbles to the platform with armor shards. Only player/demo I have ever seen that done. I figure it has something to do with cl_maxfps trickery or some other kind of sorcery.
