PTE sensor isn't exactly the best for gaming - performs best on hard pads. Has issues with glass and most soft pads.

Furthermore is it true that the Orochi 2013 can only be used with batteries?

as far as I know they just don't charge while plugged in USB

From my perspective, don't buy it
I have a Razer Orochi 2012 (blue) and the cable is dead - you cannot configure the mouse without cable and cannot buy cable as replcement part... that sucks big time

why would you want an orochi or a kinzu v2 when you can have a zowie AM/FK or an abyssus ?

I played with the kinzu for some years now and every other mouse I tried so far felt uncomfortable. I mostly use fingertip grip which makes me think that a very small orochi could be a new good mouse for me. plus laser mice felt somehow better for me in performance dunno maybe I just had crap opticals before (kinzu v1, kana)

you get used to other shapes after a week or two, don't let that stop you from moving to a better mouse. there are many mice out there where you can still finger grip.

well, I have an Orochi that I purchased as my laptop mouse. After using it for about 2 days I put it away to never use it again unless absolutely necessary. Way too small, don't like the sensor, battery life is complete shit and the cord is only like, a foot long. The one I have just takes 2 AA batteries I think, so the cord doesn't even charge the stupid thing when it IS plugged in. Another Razer flop imo.

buying an Orochi doesn't make much sense unless it's specifically and strictly for laptop use. the mouse is quite heavy and the cord is very short. if you like Kinzu maybe you should try the Zowie Mico.

you could just go for another Kinzu but sensor/skates/buttons might feel too shitty.

okay didnt know about the zowie mico, it's almost the same size as the kinzu :) does it have a better sensor than kinzu v2?

i'll say yes. i wouldn't say either sensor is solid, but afaik the Mico just has a bug that not everyone can reproduce, while the Kinzu v2 skips whenever it feels like it lol

I checked a few reviews now on the Mico, its perfomance is supposedly really good :O

Razer Orochi 2013 is good, im buy it for my laptop.. is heavy but sensor is good for all surface(not in glass), is responsev and long life battery, i can use it for wired mode without battery

I've had the Razer Orochi 2013 for three weeks now. On wireless mode, it goes to sleep even when I am using it (occurs randomly). Also once it's gone to sleep (which it does on a regular basis after approx 2.5 minutes of inactivity), the only way to wake it up is to push one of the mice buttons. Razer claims it wakes up when moved but they have so far not been able to offer a solution.

I am not sure if these problems go away when wired, but another issue I've found is when on wired mode, the mouse would stop working (e.g. all the lights are still on, but it just won't move the cursor anymore).

It's a big flop I think. I'll be returning this to newegg shortly.

Btw, the batteries don't charge over USB... but you don't need batteries if you are wired.

Can someone help, i have this mouse and when I put brand new batteries into it and flip the power switch to ON nothing happens. any suggestions?
